Hey, thanks for the entry. This does have a fancy, expensive look, but it also seems as if it could be in a gothic building or a queens court. I prefer no curly ques and such. Also, my name is spelled DEBBY. I was thinking about a diamond shape or triangle and I like the line as it gives balance and base. Please consider this thoughts and submit again. Thanks so much, I look forward to something new.
I have requested an extension, yesterday actually, so perhaps we will have more time. The top two ranks are running neck and neck. If you have any additional thoughts or ideas, please let me know. As for your design specifically, a different color scheme would be my first thought, something more neutral that can be overlaid on an image with a clear background, as just a graphic. (I hope this makes sense) I understand I can shuffle the top ranked design to allow the other contenders within striking distance an opportunity to submit refined ideas. I do LIKE this new design and would eagerly consider revisions.
I've come up with a simple yet modern take on your logo and will submit it this evening when I get home for the day. I think it will be memorable as it stands on its own and is easily recognizable. And will look good in color or black and white. Quite a tease, huh? :)
Here are 3 variations on the new theme, Debby. I should start by telling you that you're getting veeery sleepy....just relax. When I count down from 3, you will awaken to a sensation of absolute joy and amazement at this latest design. You will be absolutely convinced that it is exceedingly impactful, memorable, and sophisticated. You will rave about how it effectively utilizes your initials in a way yet unseen. Look how modern it is....breathe it in. 3, 2, 1......
I can't be sleepy, I just woke up after a long 8 hours of restful sleep wherein I dreamed only of logos. I like the Army green and the simplicity of the design, but I should tell you, that the D needs to be prominent and no the L So the current design visually appears to me to be all about the L. I wish I could say I love it but I still like the purple one better but I don't like the purple. Maybe use a different D L combination?
I need to know, is the color purple repugnant or the letter type contained within the purple? If both, that will help. Again, be not afraid of the brutal truth.
A different DL combination with this new concept perhaps, the old DL in purple was fine. I actually like the on end square and the letters but not the purple.(I guess you got that I dont like purple huh?) maybe a drop shadow or reflection of ... I don't know, you are the expert. Anyway, I am off to work. Will return this afternoon to check up on you. Cheers, Debby
More purple. Got it. Here are some different shades of purple for your consideration. With one, I even took the liberty of enhancing your slogan so that it included all potential clients. I'm gonna re-work the modern one so that there are equal parts "D" and equal parts "L". You're right. We don't want anyone getting drunk on the "L".
Ok, let's think neutral and apply the gold and silver fill to your emblem instead of the vibrant color fill. Also apply white and/or black to the DL or any other combination you like, other than purple of course. Ironically, I am currently wearing a purple shirt.
