Thank you very much for the feedback and for liking my concept. I have updated my concept. Please check #34 #36 #37 #38 .I hope that you like it. Looking forward for your feedback . God bless!
44 & 45 45 is the better of the two. Perhaps you might insert the flag banners in place of the blue borders of the shield. Let's see how that would look. Also, don't hesitate to submit other creations.
Thank you for your additional submissions. Most all the designs submitted (by you and others) are not "clicking" for me. They just seem too "busy" and something more simplified would be better visually as well as for printing, embroidery and so forth. Take a look (online) at the "2013 US Open Merion" logo which is very attractive. For our application, a desert agave (blue/green) and a golf club (with knitted head-cover & pom-pom) might be equally as striking. Sure hope you give this a try. Pete
Hi Contest Holder, Thank you for liking my revision. Hope that I can hear more feedback from you. As of now I submit an all in solid colors so that it can never be difficult in embroidering in the clothes.
#83 Of your submissions, I like 83 the best. In part this is because the head-covers are solid colors where the covers with the flags within them would be impossible to embroider. See if you can find a way to make the American and Canadian flag graphics more pronounced. I like the curved banner in 78 better than the straight banner in 83. Thanks. Pete
97 The agave is not visually definitive. In looking at it a viewer can not readily conclude that the plant is a desert agave. Perhaps you could create something more accurate. There are several agave's, but the one I have in mind is "Parry's". It has a blue/green color. Would also like to drop the banner down closer to the handle of the golf club and make the agave larger - which will also make it more visible and easier to identify.
Hi! . First of all I would like to apologize with the behavior of my fellow designer who banned in this contest because of violating upon the rules here. I understand that he was angry, and he thought I copied of his claiming first idea and we knew it was your idea to arrive the concept like this. Secondly I made a revisions. Please check on my revision #99 & #100 . I hope that you like the agave image I made. Lastly if you want any changes , please let me know. God bless!
I prefer a single golf club with black handle; The golf club to be in front of the agave rather than behind it; It appears that the golf club needs to be a bit longer; Somehow the American and Canadian flag graphics need to be more visually noticeable; I'd like to see some other agave designs. What you have is good, but not as commonplace as others.
Thank you for the feedback. Please check my update entry #104 #105 . Hope that you like it . I will submit new agave design soon, when I'm done. As of now, I will be out of town this weekend, I will be back on monday morning . Hope that its okay with you. God bless!
Hi Contest Holder, now I'm back. Glad to see that your contest still not ends yet. Please check my revision #122 #123 #124 . May I ask clarification, if is the single golf club was your original idea? so that I will tell to some other designers just in case they will going to claim it as their original idea. Hope that you like my revisions. If you want any changes please do not hesitate to ask. God bless!
Thanks!, please check #136 and #137 with blue agave . I hope that you like it. If you want any changes , please let me know so that I will fix it. God bless!
#140 Let's try: Increasing the size of the agave. Lowering the agave and the de Anza banner. Not keen on the "ring" approach. Would like to see other ideas for a somewhat larger banner that somehow incorporates the flag images. Thanks
Make the pom-pom on the head cover more droopy and make the bottom of the head-cover wider. These head-covers are often knitted materials and they get a bit stretched at the opening after some use.
I like the larger agave. Please expand the banner so that it extends beyond each side of the agave. Remove some of the stems in the agave. I'm afraid there are too many and it will not embroider well. Thank you.
156 & 157 Please remove a few more stems of the agave and make the banner wider. I'd like to see the main body (the part where the name is) of the banner to be wider than the agave.
160 I like the fewer stems on the agave but don't care for the base of the plant so let's eliminate that. Still not pleased with the application of the flags so let's do this: 1. Revise the banner by removing the fancy ribbons on each end. 2. Increase the banner size to the same width it was with the fancy ribbons on each end. 3. Clip the ends of the banner as you did in #147. 4. Create a background of flag graphics on the banner. 5. Put the de Anza name over the top of the flag graphics. 6. Move the banner down so it almost touches the handle of the golf club. 7. Make the golf club head-cover pom-pom droop a bit more - like knitted yarn that's been used and stretched over time. It would be fine if the height of the banner is increased somewhat.
168 Would like to see the banner somewhat wider (side to side) than it is on 168. Try one banner 20% wider, another 30% wider. Is it possible to begin with a blank banner, then fill the banner with images of the flags, then put the name "de Anza" on top of those images?
Hi please check #170 with 20% wider of the banner, #171 with 30% wider of the banner, and #172 with the flag backgrounds. Hope that this is the right one you like to ask. God bless!
Thanks for these many submissions! I need to share these submissions with a committee for a decision. 173, 174 & 175: I like the name on top so that the flag banners are more visible, printable and will be better for embroidery. But first, I would like for you to increase the length of the golf club (on many of your recent submissions) by about twice the thickness of the golf club handle at its thickest point. This will allow for the agave and banner to be lowered that same distance. Please don't withdraw any of your submissions as I want the committee to see a good variety from which to choose. Thank you very much.
The review committee has requested the following modifications for additional review: Entry #178 Make the handle of the golf club thinner - currently it is too thick Use the wider banner size in #170. Add the "tabs" at each end of the banner as you have in #159. Make these tabs large enough to include the flag graphics. Put the name "de Anza" in the main body of the banner and "Country Club" in smaller print below it. Make it a bit deeper (top to bottom) if necessary to ensure name is readily visible. Provide a variety of banner print color samples (blue, white, red, green) Provide a sample of these modified logos with the head-cover the same as #160 Thank you.
Hello , please #179 #180 with thinner handle ,same banner but wider as #170 .Also with bigger size of "country club" below. I think this one is cleaner version and neat. About the tabs, you mean that I will make the each end of the ribbon as flag graphics? If that so, I'm very sorry because I can't provide it because another designer has that idea already earlier of this contest, and the rules here is very strict. If that's his original idea to have a flag graphic in every bottom of the ribbon, I'm afraid I can't do that. I hope that you like it even its not the right one you like ask. God bless!
Rather than wait for a committee to make a decision, which could two weeks, I'm inclined to name you the winner now if you will provide minor changes to the logo if requested by the committee. Are you agreeable?
