This concept uses a fin as a symbol for big fish. It's more of a wordmark...subtle, but clever. The fin is made from the "A" but can also be made from the "V". I use against a black background to cater to the nightlife and give it a sense of luxury, but it can easily be used on a white background. This is also very flexible with the use of the vibrant colors. You can easily substitue the Magenta color with a cyan, yellow, orange, or green...Each to represent the various aspects of your business (for example: dining, clubs, casinos, etc.).
I think one of the main elements in the samples being provided is that they lack prestige and elegance. This concept attempts to bring exude that thru the use of a script font. The "V" is both the a V and a abstract fish.
If you would like to see variations in my 2nd place concept, please let know. I think one possibility to improve upon my concept, if you want to make the fish more apparent, is to make the part of the "V" that makes the fin, even more fin-like. Let me know what you think. I personally like the subtleness, but you may have a different opinion.
