Mantabjaya -- this looks really good, the logo definitely belongs on the left. I like the typeface selected for DataBaselines. One request - can you tweak the font/size of "Boost" slogan, perhaps to match current 2nd ranking design? It is more legible than what you have here. Thankyou.
These look great, a couple of variation requests on #176
- italicize "Boost..." slogan and right align that phrase. Ideally have it fit in the same width as "Baselines"
- Show alternate version in which the DB icon appears positioned to the right of the DataBaselines text.
I like the heavier font you are using. I'd appreciate seeing a few other variations on fonts if you don't mind. I tend towards simple / clear / blunt styles.
Mantabjaya -- I'm providing feedback based upon your design #57.
- Please invert the color of the text such that "Data" is the darker blue, "Baselines" is the lighter blue, while leaving the color for the symbol as-is
- Please stick with the single line of text, not broken out into two (as on #57)
- Please remove "INC" from any further designs. I thought it was a legal requirement; I now understand it is not needed on a logo.
- Please retain "Boost Your Return on Data" in future designs (as on #57). I'd like to see variations
- Would you experiment a little bit with the font? It needs to be sans-serif, and not terribly much different from what you've been using -- but a variation with a little more personality to it would be good. The existing is rather plain.
Two general design goals I have for this are:
1 - balance the vertical space used by the logo portion and the text block. In many of the designs, the logo is very "tall", and the text height for DataBaselines is quite short. I would like these to be complimentary of eachother in their scale. And when I write that, I mean to say the logo being complementary in scale to the combined height of "DatabaseLines" with "Boost..."
2 - play off the baseline concept such that the bottom / flat portion of the logo ties in with white space that will separate the "DataBaselines" and the "We Boost..." tagline. I think that would be an effective way to tie the two elements together.
Mantabjaya -- I really like the folding graphic you've come up with here. It is unlike anything else others have done. The general problem I'm trying to resolve with the design is the typography. That is where things are not so clean. In particular, the typography goes too wide. It makes the overall design kind of muddled and having less impact. Would you mind experimenting with the typography side of things? A couple of suggestions:
- Drop the slogan altogether from design
- Consider stacking in two lines Data and Baselines
- Leave as one line but draw "inc" somehow within the width of the other text size.
- Within the color recommendations provided, I'd welcome your ideas about changing color up a bit for an impact-ful end result.
Thank you very much for your creativity and hard-work on these...
Thanks for trying this, seeing it makes me realize it trying to fit too much into the design. Am inclined to drop the slogan from the logo, slogan may change over time, logo should not... Nothing further to do with this particular design - but wanted to acknowledge your delivering it.
Can I see a variation on this with:
- "INC" (with no period) dropped down under the "es" of lines
- "We Boost Your Return on Data" abbreviated to "Boost Your Return On Data", left-aligned much like it is now
- A 2-3 point dark blue horizontal line connecting the slogan with "INC"
The general objective I'm going for is a more narrow layout. With "inc." tacked on the end, the design is wider than I'd like.
Hello, once again Thank you for your positive feedback, I just upload the update #51#52#53#54#55#56#57#58
I'll get back to you when the other entries with your feedback has revised
Mantabjaya -- lovely treatment of the "DB", I really like this and compared to #12 -- prefer the white border distinguishing the d from the b as you've done here. I like how the lower part of the "b" fits into the "baseline" concept, with additional alignment work -- it could represent the "floor" of the overall design. Note: The typography to the right of "RD" you treat more elegantly in your other designs.
The orientation of the "DB" makes me think of a hanging folder spilling content on the floor. I like the way you orient this on the other (ranked) examples.
Once again -- really appealing clever treatment of the "db". It conveys to me a little bit of the bar-chart/graphing that is part of my trade. To the extent it resembles a chemistry beaker is less useful. In this and other designs, is ongoing challenge of having a too-wide design. Anything we can do to make it more compact width is desirable.
nice interplay with "db", though the arrow points to left or "backwards" which is offputting. Can you do design with arrow pointing to the right? You have an alternate treatment of this same "db" that is slanted -- could I see variations of this design both level (pointing right) and slanted (pointed up)?
I like the simplicity of the lower case "databaselines", though am going back and forth in my head about the capitalized versions which are more immediately readable.
The "inc." on this and many other designs is distracting. What about reducing it's size, or orienting it vertically at the end of baselines? "Inc." would be nice to retain, but I dislike how it stretches out the designs horizontally.
Mantabjaya -- great designs here. So much creativity going on -- thank you for participating. I really like the "DB" visual on this, the almost floral curve of the shared part of d and b, the way the lower part bulges and lays flatter. The 4 squares at top do not appeal as much. I'd love to see variations of this part. On typography, interesting to see the "i" with no dot, emphasis on line I guess. On this design, what really grabs me is the left visual, the typography in some of your other ones is better IMO. Altogether though -- really like the things I see on your designs.

Also - change the font color of "Data" and "Baselines" to what you have in the "DB" image; "Data" in light-blue, "Baselines" in dark blue.
