Our Ideas & Additional Information
Please see www.datacloudsolutions.net for current/temporary logo, and to learn more about what we do. We like the idea of the "Impossible Triangle" and some representation of "Cloud" and "Technology/binary", but obviously we want to see further creativity and new designs, as we aren't fully happy with our current "logo". We also like the binary/plasma designs found here: http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&safe=off&q=binary+world&wrapid=tlif129553902691310&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&biw=1259&bih=603

Need .ai (Adobe Illustrator) editable files. Also, please remember we would like to see new designs and the designers aren't restricted to incorporate our examples. Seeing examples of both would be nice.

Update: We're finding ourselves leaning more towards banner/horizontal type designs over the stacked style; but aren't entirely ruling them out. Something that can easily be used across websites and promotional material (mugs & glossy pamphlets).

We would like to see any spherical-based logos with "missing parts/empty area" convey a message of things/resources/data "coming together" with perhaps shapes and/or binary swirling-in (or floating, or flying-in, etc.) as if they are building the sphere, or completing the sphere/data-cloud.

Anything that could convey simultaneous and synchronized data transfer TO and FROM the cloud/logo would be really neat.

UPDATE, From DCS Partner:
We like the idea of having the pieces come together to form a whole, the way #12 and #23 show.

Logotweek; We'd really like to see a variation on #12 where the pieces of the sphere were puzzle pieces instead of the "soccer/football" look as the product is about pulling data in to form a whole.

Other "puzzle" concepts are welcomed and encouraged.

#24 seems a little busy..., even though we generally like the idea. We're not crazy about the smaller icon inside the text on #24 and #23. Having the "o" in Cloud as an icon might work without the large icon to the left but as it is it's just too much happening and lacks some of the elegant feel we're looking for. Instead of an entire letter comprised of an image/icon, perhaps just elements of the "data transfer to the cloud/icon" incorporated would be best. (e.g., binary flying through/around/part of the company name text going towards the icon...)

We really like the font on #14 and the fact that the text for the company name is a consistent color instead of Data Cloud being one color and Solutions LLC being a different color.

We like the way Bluebox is incorporating a cloud into the logo for #4 and #16, but we're not crazy about the look of having the DC inside the cloud. Maybe if it was DCS in the cloud that might be more appealing. We also feel that the font used in those logos is a little too rounded; as a whole they' feel a little too soft looking, but could develop into something usable.

We'd like to see some other concepts with a cloud incorporated or implied somehow, but not too over-powering.

Lastly, it would be nice to see some logos that incorporate the idea of having media components in the cloud. Since DCS collects forms, photos, videos and audio into a cloud back-end, maybe some of the designers have ideas of ways to capture that into a logo. It's important that it doesn't get too busy though.
