Discussion

Client
I love this logo, but my only concern is that there is no tie back to movies or critics. Maybe turning the "c" in the logo to a movie reel?

Logo Designer
ok I can do it... your satisfaction is warranty...

Client
Can we try #55 in gold? Also, I don't like putting the movie reel in the film strip because it's repetitive. Can you think of something to put on the film that would imply a rating? Maybe on one strip you put 3 stars and on the smaller one 1 or 2 stars? Or, you could try one with a thumb's up and one with a thumbs down?

thanks!

Can we try #70 with a more rounded font (like #56), especially with the rounded "a". Also, can we try #71 without the black backround? Can we also submit a slightly larger image so that I can read it more easily?

Great work.

thanks.

Can you please redo #76 with the same font from #110 (but not bolded - it's too thick). I like that font because it really separates the "critic" from the "opia".

Also, your logo shows up much smaller than the other logos - can we increase the size to make it easier for me to compare, and to read the tag line? And the font size of the tag line needs to be increased to make it more readable.

Thanks.

Okay, we're really close.

On #117, can we:
make the font thinner, like the one on #118
make the film strip about 20% smaller
change the tag line to "we are" instead of "we're"
change the tag line font to be more readable

thanks!

20% less exactly... with ruler and calculator... jajajaja and exaclty the same font a little bite slim

It's getting better, but I still want the following changes please:

On #121, can we:
make the font even thinner
make the film strip even smaller
change the tag line to "we are" instead of "we're"
the tag line is still hard to read

Make the middle "c" in criticopia half black and half gold, so that it looks more like "critic" and "copia" instead of "critic" and "opia".

Logo Designer
the font is modified for you, because the original font doesnt have a thinner one, and I make a edition of the C. I hope you like it

Client
Thanks for the changes. Now that I look at the double "c", is see that it doesn't look very good. Can you blend it so that it is more smooth?

Also, I just can't read the tag line very well. In #118, #139, #44 etc., I can read it well. Try something like those please.

Logo Designer
i think is better critiCOPIA that criticOPIA
because criti is the root of critic and copia is a spanish word that means copy, also you can buy criticcopia.com with double C
because if i mix the colors black and gold in the C is awfull!
what do u think?

Client
Well, I definitely want just one "c", but if a blended "c" looks bad, can we try just a gradual blend across the entire word?

Also, I just can't read the tag line very well. In #118, #139, #44 etc., I can read it well. Try something like those please.

look the shadow in the last C... the explanation is they are 2 c

I like the shadow idea. Can we make the shadow shifted more so that it is a little more obvious?

Client
Well, it just doesn't look very good with the shadow. Maybe the middle "c" could be a totally different color? Maybe you can just play with the idea and find something that you like.

Thank you once again.

Client
Sorry to change my mind again, but after much discussion, here is what we want...
"critic" in dark grey
"opia" in gold
tag line: "we're your greatest critic" all in lower case
font: use the same one as #149 with the same spacing and thickness

Unless I get a new or updated design it will likely be between you and #149, so I want to be able to compare them with the same font.

Client
#152 is almost there, except the font is still not correct.

You've done a great job of doing everything I asked. Thank you. You were definitely one of the top 2 or 3 most responsive designers, and that makes a big difference to me.

One more thing... If you have the time, could you do me a favor and change it the way you would like it if it were your company? In particular, I'd like to see how you would change the word part of the logo. Different colors, font, design?

Client
Can you also try one version with the edges of the filmstrip the same color as "critic", i.e. dark grey/black.

Client
Can you try the black edges again, but with the inside film being the same color approximately as #201? It's more gold/bronze.

I would like to have the logo pop a bit more, but the shadow didn't really do it. Maybe make it more 3-d?

Client
Any chance that there is time for you to try changing #308 to be more 3-dimensional? By this I mean wrapping the corners of the star?

Logo Designer
sorry I cant do that with #308, because I dont know how... =(
14 years ago

Logo Designer
Also, I dont recommend use a very 3d logo, because, imagine who your logo gonna look in black and white printer... if you print the macdonlds logo in a b/w printer you will recognize it...so, always you need the two versions... the color one and the black and white

Client
Congratulations, and thank you for your design.

Can we try changing the current #1 ranked design (#158) to make it wave like #321, except wave a little less? I'd also like to try some other color combinations (you decide).

Thank you again!

Logo Designer
ok, we can mix #158 and #1 no problem, also I will try to make the wave no problem
14 years ago

Logo Designer
ok, I understand, mix #158 and #321

Client
I think we'll just stay with the flat logo. Can you try out a couple of other color combinations? And then I think we'll be done.
