this is terrific... I am ranking 4th just for now... client has not seen any yet. Love the style and the sense of humor... any other concepts you can think of? Carol
love the concept here... no so much the circle - makes it too corporate. lets see what they say at the end of the day... but I can see a line of squirrels or other nut loving critters with different types of nuts asking the elephant to blow them up?
some way to imply teamwork and different problems to solve. with humor and style.
No. I'm not a big fan of Logo Court. In your brief you mentioned Wiley Coyote and what he might do to crack a nut. If people aren't free to interpret that because one designer already tried it, you are limiting the free thinking of the designers, which in my mind hurts the client. Maybe someone else has a better interpretation of the use of dynamite. I worked at a graphic design firm for almost thirty years and designers were continuously coming up with similar ideas on a project. Usually the best design wins out in the end anyway. I think Logo court should be used for direct steals and such. Thanks, Gary (Miamiman)
ok - I was just a bit surprised at the poor entry on that one. it will go to NI now before the client has a chance to see it... an embarrassment to LT if you ask me.
I still love your elephant and squirrel and hope you will develop the idea more ... they really want to show the concepts of creativity, teamwork, finding the best solution and have it clever and fun.
moving around the rankings - client won't rank till later... like the new font... but still want to see how to introduce teamwork and multiple solutions to the idea...
they love #70 but can't be a bomb - one of the top people decided it gives the wrong message ... but they love the simplicity ... can you think of another icon rather than something that blows up... that is still simple?
use the same pile of nuts... maybe with the monolith like in 2001 space odyssey (my initial thought) in the center? OR maybe even a big classic nutcracker...
really love your style but wish you would do what suggested ... change bomb to something else... maybe even use dna strands attacking the nuts... to add bio science to it. they love the pile of nuts in # 70 with some simple way to convey cracking and maybe science
love the monolith but the coordinator is too young to know that movie... but the scientists will relate... possibly will move higher later... if you have other ideas and want to enter let me know I will up the ranking for new versions.
