great!! really like. would love to see this several ways: can we try with different color options, placement options, maybe other design sketches as well?
awesome!!! can you change the colors around - maybe not as girlie colors - i dont know, how about an olive green or whatever you think....
...and i'm not huge on that font is there anything that could look a bit more like someone wrote it themselves but really clean looking and interesting/unique at the same time?
....as for the girls - i like her mystique look for sure - anyway you could maybe make her a bit more dynamic - like 70's glam...just kind of want to see versions of her character...
sorry i hope i'm not bombarding you - clearly, i'm liking yours the best so far and feel like it's got some great potential if we keep working together :)
#60 - AWESOME! love the "sketched look" with the wording as well. can we do a clutch instead of a handbag? woudl love to see what she looks like without sunglasses - with one eye looking kinda mysterious'ish?
and then, is there a chance you could do a more casual look - like one with high waisted flared jeans and a billowy blouse maybe a shoulder satchel....kinda going for the fara faucet/rachel zoe 70's look too!
you are SO GOOD!! loving this so far...let's keep going b/c i feel like we are heading for a winner :)
also, on 60 and one's you do ...on the side almost like a small signature could you put "by Jane"....as if you saw an artist sign their work ....wanting to see what that would look like as well
great! i feel like 68 looks cleaner than 69 - would prefer hair not blond...love the print in 68, can you do that for the top? maybe the bag could be camel or cognac? can we try the pants not as denim? love the By Jane....would prefer it how it is on 68 though, lower....but don't want to mess it up with the girl's stance...so the girl's stance might have to be tweaked?
ha - i'm so sorry you're probably thinking i'm the most picky person ever!! I'm super impressed with your work....just trying to get the final tweaks hammered out.
Glad you are at least having fun with it!!!! I absolutely am!!!
ok we are so close and i'm really excited about this. My biggest concern is someone new to the blog not being able to read the cursive font for "couture look" and that the "by jane" gets lost as a signature referring to the sketch of the female figure in #85. Is there a way (and i know this is an artist's worst nightmare) to somehow combine elements of #41 and #85...Here is what i think is so strong in each:
#41 - i love the way the title "couture look" is so easy to read. there's no confusion and the hierarchy of couture with the diagonal stacking down to "look" just makes it so easy on the eyes. Is there a way to keep this layout but incorporate the look /style of the girl from #85 as the break in between the two words?
Also, i love the way you have "by jane" signed like a real signature in #85 - is there a way to have that same signature under the word "look" in #41 so it says very clearly "couture look" but then the added "by jane" feels like my personal signature / stamp of approval on the more straightforward "look". feel like that will be a nice contrast but without forcing readers to strain to understand what the logo says.
(the girl might have to sit down with legs crossed - i guess we'll just have to see depending on how the couture look looks as far as height/proportion.
Don't worry, though it is an unusually high amount of revisions/work, I truly do enjoy fashion illustration, plus it will be a great addition to my portfolio! :)
for 102 - can you bring the purse behind and the bag a bit more slouched in the center - not as structured? and make the "by jane" part a little more fluid, easier to read?
for 101 - can you bring the wording up so that it's lined up below her hip like in 102? and then make the "by Jane" part a bit more fluid/clear to read and possibly smaller and the bag a bit more slouchy and possibly cream or cognac
for 100 - can you make the "by jane" part a little more small and clear...and make the font the same size as in 101/102 for couturelook and instead of the denim skirt, put her in a dress version of that top with some cool brown boots or booties - i'm thinking those cool frye motorcycle harness boots or booties hwatever? possibly make hte bag more slouched (falls more into the center) than structured ...
SHoot!!!! one last thing i promise!!!! 108 is def the winner - can you scoot "couture" in just a tiny bit and then scoot "look" to right just a tiny bit - just so it looks balanced....
