County of Northern LightsLogo Design Contest

Hi icarrhou. Would it be possible to shrink the line spacing between the three rows of print?
Also, shrink the font size and change the font colour on 'County of'. Also, shorten leaf stem...i love the shade of purple you have chosen. I'm not clear on what the visual is inside the maple leaf....could we try a picture of the northern lights? you can see different images at http://photobucket.com/images/northern%20lights/
not sure about the shadow....maybe just one big maple leaf slightly on tilt. Thanks. reference is to entry#24

Thank you very much for your feedback and your ranking of my design (entry #24).

I will rework the design based on your feedback. The visual inside the maple leaf is a representation of the northern lights. At least I thought so -- lol. I will rework this also so that it is more representative of the images you just sent me through Photobucket.

I should be able to upload the variation later today. In the meantime, if you think of anything else you would like to see, please let me know.

If you can check out entry #33. I like how they used the leaf itself as the northern lights. Unfortunetly, there isn't anything else about #33 that I like.

I was thinking, maybe it would be easier to take 2 or 3 maple leaves and fan them and have each one in their fall colours?

#48 is a revised "northern lights" design while #49 is the multiple maple leaves you suggested.

On entry#48, can we try a darker font colour for 'County of'?
and shorten the stem right back on the leaf...I don't think it should continue on into the words.
On entry#49, again, I think he font colour needs to be darker on the 'County of'
Did you downsize the font on ' County in Bloom' ? I would like to see it as big as #48 or even slightly larger
....interesting that no one has added a bloom in any of the County in Bloom Logo's.

As far as the bloom, I would be happy to do a version with a flower if you'll direct me to a plant that would be appropriate to your area.

Hey there - Please check #50 and #51. I changed the color of "County of" to a darker green on both entries and enlarged "County in Bloom". Also, for #50, I shortened the stem of the maple leaf.

And like I said earlier, if you'll give me some direction, I would be happy to incorporate a bloom in the design.

I was looking at a plum or apple blossom, or white rose , white with the dark colour edging or dark colour stigmas in the middle.(the things with the pollen on them)
Maybe even little blooms hanging in the g on Lights or the o in Northern?

In Alberta, are trees turn yellow in the fall, on entry#51, could we see what the red leaf would be like in a nice yellow?
On entry#50, can we have the leaf bigger, on tilt to the right, and you can even shorten the stem some more.
