What We Do

Logo design for St.Pete

Industry

Non-Profit

Top Three Things to Communicate

#1 - Sand, City scape, sun, surf
#2 - That the city is both a fun place to work and play
#3 - Would love to see actual city scape pieces incorporated

Our Target Audience:

This logo is targeted towards people and businesses that are considering moving to the city or traveling on vacation.

Color Preferences

Blue must be a primary color incorporated into the logo. We are also open to shades of yellow, orange, etc.

Additional colors can be selected as needed.

Our Ideas and Additional Information:

The City of St. Petersburg and several major businesses within the city are looking for a way to create branding identity for the city while also allowing those partner businesses to use the logo in a way that speaks to their audience.

One idea for a solution (but again we are open to other ideas) is for a logo that has "St. Petersburg" as its core component - along with maybe a tag such as "St. Pete - Where Sand and City Meet". Perhaps adding established. 1892. Would like to maybe see element representing sand on left side (palm tree. etc.) and then element representing city (melding into cityscape or buildings) on the right.

Other ideas can be derived or incorporate major city attractions such as Tropicana Field, Baywalk Shopping Plaza, the beaches, etc. Incorporation of water or water elemenst is also an option as the city is basically surrounded by it...

Additional information on the city can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Petersburg,_Florida or here http://www.stpete.org/history.asp

LOGO SHOULD NOT BE CARTOONY - Should professionally represent the city.

Do not incorporate the acronym COSP (City of St. Petersburg) - Just use the names themselves.

Hey guys - go with just St. Petersburg ... no "city of"

ECc - I like the design, can you pop in with a brighter blue maybe?

Hey guys - please no "city of". I like these, can you just rebuild without "city of"? Jet - can you incorporate the tag somehow?

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage more participation.
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monitary means of showing apprecaition for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

1st place - 50 points
2nd place - 20 points
3rd place - 10 points
4-6th place - 5 points
7-10 place - 3 points
