no red and black roofs or no roofs at all ?

I'd rather not have a roof because it is expected. If you can incorporate a roof that doesn't look like a roof right away, mabey very subtle, I don't want to limit creativity too much.

#11 I like that you used the slogan. The coloring is good on the red. The graphic is too plain but I like that it included Initials. I am looking for strong but maybe a little more femanine or elegant than that.

I like the idea of a scrolling script for either the Initials in the logo, or a scrolling logo around initials in a strong font.

#12 I like that you made RUSSELL prominent. I actully never thought of stacking it that way. Very interesting.This is still to masculine.

I like the shiny, glowy look, somewhat metalic. Maybe a higly shined silver on a black background, or even a reverse of that. A Black metalic logo used on a red or white background.


Some Ideas about door, hearth, fence etc.

DOOR IDEA: black background,Red door opening, Bright light shining from door on to initials in a high gloss color (red or metalic). then name below. Door would be slightly to the left of the name with initials centered above. Name in red Real estate team in white.

HEARTH: (Fire Place) IDEA: Instead of the typical roof, try a Mantle over the name or like the door have a fireplace with a bright glow (as if fire is lit) then initials in front of the glowing embers. Keep design as simple as possible, meaning use only one color and maybe some shadowing for the fire place features. not a full on illustration.

GATE: An Iron gate with a simple curve on top with scrolling initials on it, maybe slightly ajar with name below, or with the name across it and little initial toppers. ???

KEY: Super Scrolly Font for the head of a skeleton key, name spelled out on the key (maybe the L's in russell could be part of the teeth (?!?!?) on the key. ??? Real estate team below

Emblem (?): just initals inside some sort of emblem, resembles iron wall art that is shaped into a scrolling design. Placement would be desided by the shape on the logo. if it is more horizontal then it goes above name. If it is more square, round, oval then could go the left of name (this could work well for Russell Realty Group in a triiple stack)

Ok that's alot of specific ideas. Feel free to play around with any of that, incorporate it into what you have already done, or totally throw it out and bring your own awesome ideas.

I still don't see "the one" yet but all great work. I am very impressed with you're skills.
Please make sure you take a look at the example pics I have posted, to get a sence of where the look is going, and read over the brief and comments for ideas . I do intend to just pop the new logo in place of the old one on the business card and signs.

If you are in love with a design you've already submitted and it isn't ranked highly, try glossing it up, to make it pop.

is there an industry term for.... High gloss, shiney, wet/varnished look, clear coated, polished, metalic? I see the look I am trying to describe in some of the logos in the portfolio, and I'm not sure what that look is called.

Also, LOVE LOVE LOVE the look of another of Breandan's designs for Abharan. It's a big black ring but super glossy. Please take that look into consideration especially when using black.

Wow! I got alot of ideas in the last few hours. And they are very good! With so many submissions in it is getting hard to sort and to give each designer individual feedback.
