Our target audience is anyone who considers themselves a geek. People who like gadgets, comics, video games, techie stuff, computers, movies, etc.
Most of the audience will be males between the ages of 15-30.
Color Preferences
Black, but we are open to ideas that incorporate other colors.
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
We have already picked a template. The logo needs to fit well within the template or it will not even be considered. Before you make a submission, ensure that it doesn't look out of place on the website template.
We also like the idea of using an Acronym for our logo. Our site is Cool Things For Geeks, so we like the idea of it maybe having a logo of CTFG or CTFGeeks and possibly having the whole phrase spelled out underneath the acronym.
We are planning on building a network of sites. Each site in the network will focus on different niche. We want the brand of "Cool Things For" or "CTF" to be easily recognizible throughout the network regardless of what the niche of the site is .

Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:
~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation. ~~ Rank and re-rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries. ~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio ~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion ~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see. ~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested". ~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation. ~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points. ~~ After your contest closes it will enter Judging phase. You can re-rank designs in Judging. ~~ While in Judging, the designer ranked in first place can submit revisions
Here are some thoughts on our favorite designs so far.
#8: We think this design is headed in the best direction in terms of concept. The fact that we can simply change a letter in the box to make it brandable to any website is a major plus. I'm not sure if the logo screams geek or technology, though.
#6 In terms of design, we think this is headed in the best direction. While we're not too fond of the glasses concept, the font seems trendy/geeky, and the squares floating above the glasses scream technology and innovation. The light gray and black combination goes well together as well.
We like the idea of having the acronym in the logo and then having it spelled out next to it or beneath/underneath it.
Also, we aren't fans of having a mascot in our logo like in #7 and #10.
We like the design/concept of it, but it won't be able to be transferred onto other sites, as the brandable part is technology focused. It's a downside, but it's the best out of the current submissions.
A suggestion specifically for #17: - Can we make the logo have more length to it? Maybe put "Cool" & "Things" on one line and increase the size of "Geeks".
Overall, the perfect logo would meet the following objectives: 1. Cool Things For (or the acronym CLF) would be able to be branded across all sites. 2. Geeks would have be niche specific and have technology/geek feel to it.
We haven't seen much that has blown us away as of yet so we'd like everyone to disregard our initial comments and to have complete freedom of the logo. We're open to all types of ideas. However we do still want a logo that we can easily change on each of our different niche websites and have it still be recognizable that each site is part of the same brand...(The brand is officially called "Cool Things For")
#25 and #26 are exactly the type of concept we are looking for. Something that we can interchange the last letter depending on what each site's specific niche (for example: Geeks) is focused on, while at the same time keeping a recognizable overall brand logo for each site of our network.
We are open to different variations on this type of concept. Thanks!
