With entry #11 can you work with it and customize it for our concept? Perhaps having a 14 or 16 point star emerging from the center and/or brighter colors, etc. Please read the brief and see if that inspires any thoughts or ideas for you. Also the star in entry 13 is too much of a fantasy or "young" star and the wave doesn't really have an appropriate meaning for us. What if you had a star with many more points emerging from a circle or square or hands or something like that? Thanks. I look forward to see what you come up with!
Thank you for your entries. I liked the concept of your entry #11 but never saw a response to my feedback. I'm going to mark you other two designs as not interested. Hopefully you will work a bit on the first one. I added a review of what we are looking for (it's my last post). Would love to see some more ideas from you.

Please take a break from submitting concepts with stars. :-) We are not sold on using a star. If we decide to go with a star we have plenty to choose from and develop. Thanks for all of the options in that area.

A symbol that represent a new, fresher, more authentic, easier, more enjoyable way of doing business
A symbol that represent a global feel; a universal appeal: perhaps even a bit spiritual without being a religious symbol (we teach principles-based business concepts and approaches)
There needs to be an ease to it, an "Ahaaaa" feeling when you connect with it (our client are at a point in there lives where they want to serve and make a difference not go out and sell, sell, sell, or push, push, push, to build their businesses....they want to build there businesses using the same values that have lead them to want to give back and make a difference. So, we want the symbol and color story to represent that.
Perhaps (one idea) a symbol that represents community of like-minded, contribution-centered, make-a-difference business people that you know will work to serve you not sell you
A symbol with an artistic flair...this is important to us...we want it to express that it's okay to do things differently and be able to be in business and express yourself even if it doesn't look like tradition business
Also, I uploaded in the contest brief some possible color options (other than business blue) that might help you.
I hope all of this helps.
Please remember that we will be using this mark in many different types of media so shading or gradient in the colors wouldn't work
