#103 - the green on the reddish background didn't work so well for me.
#104 - the gold on reddish background works less well then it does on a darker plum background, but I suspect you used this color scheme based on the rankings given to others that have used this. Please feel free to use whatever color scheme you think would work best. Don't assume I'm in love with the color combinations from existing designs.
I like the scrolling paper effect. I'm not excited about the all gold section covering the 'TEXT' area. Might be better if the lines in the paper were alternating colors.
Problem - with no letter 'E' and with a cool/funky letter 'A', I think it wil be a little too busy and tough for a new visitor to our website or someone who sees our logo elsewhere to know what our company name is easily.
I like how you pulled in some other ideas that have been positive from other designs, and the scrolling paper effect is nice, but I think either the letter 'E' needs to appear on it, or the scroll could be moved to the first letter 'C', similar to the way one of the other designs uses a page with dog-eared corner.
Font: I like the thickness and roundedness, but with the curvy N and L, and the funky, curvy A, it looks a bit like the Battlestar Galactica logo font. I'm thinking that just adjusting the letter 'A' to have a bar in it would be helpful, since the scroll already makes for a lot going on. I still want it to be easy to read. You'd be surprised (or not) by how many people still think our company name is a tongue-twister, and I don't want to complicate matters more.
Thanks for the design - it incorporates a number of good things. I'm at least modify the 'A', if not the entire font a little, perhaps not emphasize the whole 'TEXT' within the company name in its own color, and try to get the letter E to be more obvious/readable, so people will know what the word is. Also, please feel free to change to a color combo you'd recommend, not what everyone else is using. Thanks!
