This logo (example 2) ranks as number 2 out of 2. We feel that the building shown looks too much like a logo already existing here in Canada. We are also concerned about how the logo will turn out on a fax.
Well, we don’t mind have buildings in the logo. However, more than half of the commercial renovation companies here have a city skyline in their logos.
I was thinking today to explore the buildings idea in another dimension: trough architecture drawings symbols (golden ratio, cross-section, etc); more in terms of inspiration for an abstract (or pictorial) mark than a direct reference to an architect’s firm.
I look forward for your proposals, and wish to interact with you to make a great logo.
Entry 6: Yeah, I think working on these letters, the small ''b'' and ''d'' bring a lot of possibilities to make an interesting logo. Those letters are like in a mirror.
Entry 8: I always liked this curved figure of the golden ratio. But also I'm aware that it may be a common figure. In your presentation, I feel it a little full. Is it possible to make a variation, for the customer to realize the figure after 3 second of watching (i.e. use the negative spaces as dark of something like that...) ?
Entry 4: Still my favorite up to now. You surprised me with this dynamic, abstract, building reference. It gives a 3 dimensions impression and the 2 color touch makes it just perfect (the object and its shadow, or also the idea of 2 levels of a building).
I have a meeting tomorrow with my partners. I am impatient to get their feeling.
About your Entry #4, my partners agreed with me for the ranking. We would like to explore variations on this logo. Can you try with other shades of green (like entry #10)? Also, can you try other fonts?
I am Charles' business partner and, so far, we both like the logo. In particular, the abstract (and somewhat embedded) notion of contruction is very interesting. Can you explore other fonts and other shades of green, getting inspiration, may be, from the list of variables that we have ranked ? In short, let's try to marry classicism and modernism, being a solid and honest firm, yet vibrant and innovative. FP
