Hi Greenlite You might notice that you now have top ranking. Congratulations. I would like to how the logo and wording might appear with some colour variations if that is possible, please. Can you first apply a deeper blue (say similar to Pantone 2746C and/or 2756C) to partner the lighter secondary colour as in your entry #136? Then also a burgundy colour (say similar to Pantone 201C and/or 202C) and a deep green colour (say similar to Pantone 553C and/or 554C)? Please let me know when I can view these. Thank you.
Thanks. Have had some more input from my colleagues and we would like to see another couple of variations applied to #136 if that is OK.
Please put the title wording in black and remove the website line. Add .net .au at the end of the second line of the title in small but distinguishable lower case font, ending in line with the line above. For example: CONSTRUCT CONNECT .net.au
Please use the following colour combinations to give two new colour variations for the lettermark: 484C vs 427C 484PC vs 427PC 378C vs 427C 378PC vs 427PC
Would it also be possible to apply these variations to #122 to see how that concept appears with the same treatment?
Hello again Thanks for the latest uploads. We are still happy to work with you to get the final version just right. Sorry to ask for a few more variations, but I think we are now getting very close to knowing what we want. 1. We would like to change the title font. Is it possible to use the same font as you have used for the C in the lettermark please? Or as close as possible to that. We think it will flow on from the lettermark more seamlessly. 2. Having done that, I think we could go back to incorporating the website url (constructconnect.net.au) as a third line (small) instead of trying to squeeze the .net.au after CONNECT. 3. Your original 'swish' through the lettermark is much better than the flat version we specified from the pantone colour chart. Can we please revert to that for all versions? 4. Using #136, #160 and #161 as the basis, could you please apply the new font and layout as (a) all black, and (b) using the main lettermark colour on the first word (CONSTRUCT) and the 'swish' colour on the second word (CONNECT). The website url should be the same colour as the main lettermark colour in all instances. I hope this is clear enough for you. Please message me if there is anything you may not understand. Cheers
Hi, I think I'm quite clear with your above feedback.
Here's the update. Same font with the C symbol with the url written underneath. Maintain the original swoosh with the shiny effect. #164 : original blue #165 : black text
#166 : green #167 : black text #170 : Since the gray appear too soft, I was thinking to use my original blue-ish gray for the swoosh & CONNECT for you to compare how it looks like overall
#168 : burnt orange #169 : black text #171 : same treatment with entry #170
Thanks for responding quickly. We would like to work with you as part of the current contest, replacing CONSTRUCT CONNECT with DESIGN+BUILD FORUM. Unfortunately the name
Thanks for responding quickly. We would like to work with you as part of the current contest, replacing CONSTRUCT CONNECT with DESIGN+BUILD FORUM. Unfortunately the name CONSTRUCT CONNECT is no longer available to us. We still have a few days to finalise a new logo with you. If we can do that, we will have no trouble declaring you as the winner without input from others.
Hi Gary, sorry I dont get your early message clearly. Ok I will change the design to the new name with the new D+B symbol. I really appreciate the chance of working with me alone for this revisions.
Thanks so much for that, Robin. I am sorry about the multiple message attempts. Somehow I kept miskeying and it submitted the half-complete message each time. I am looking forward to seeing your D+B concepts. A clue might be that it is architectural so there is no problem if it resembles a freehand sketch in the same way that a rough architectural drawing might be presented??? By the way, I have extended our contest by 10 days, so not so much immediate pressure ;) Have your way with colour preferences and we can refine them as we go if necessary.
Hi Gary, I have submitted couple of entries of new logo with the new brand
See #172 #173 #174 #175 #176 #177 I have variations of style & concept for the DB in architectural form. I also propose the suggestion from you about the idea of rough sketches.
Hey Robin, thanks for getting right onto that. It gives us something to really start working with. My partner and I will spend some time going over the concepts today and get back to you as quickly as possible. Regards Gary
Hi Gary, Thanks for the logo reference. It helps me a lot in visualize what you like exactly. The reference also quite resemble the idea I did for my early entry #172 :)
Check my new submissions based on your reference - Bold Lettermark with orange as compliment color in the + sign If you like what I did, we can explore further on the colors
Hi again Robin Yes, we are on the right track. However, the blue is not a favoured colour. Would it be possible to provide versions of the same designs using black instead of blue, as in the sample on the website. Would it also be possible for you to provide a version as close as possible to the website sample as another type style (I believe that one uses Impact font). Regards Gary
Hi Gary, To achieve such effect only can do in photoshop, proper logo is only can create using Illustrator in vector format. Here's my closest version to that reference in vector format #198
hopefully everyone happy with the outcome of the new effect :)
HI Gary, thanks for the link of how to create the effect. If using the guide from the tutorial, only simple shape can achieve such effect.. like square or round. But don't worry, I managed to create a nice shadow for the letter db from Illustrator effect. Here you go #199
the + symbol now sits equally between the two words
Hi Robin Thanks for that great shadow effect! And the + position adjustment. We are now soooo close! Final request, hopefully ... can you please ensure the d and b letters are aligned perfectly top and bottom (there seems to be a very slight adjustment needed); also please ensure the bottom of the letters of the lettermark (excluding the shadow) are aligned perfectly with the bottom of the letters of the title text; please create a little more space between the end of the shadow effect and the website address so we can use the lettermark as a stand-alone element in certain circumstances; and finally, could you please slightly adjust the density of the colours in the d and b to come closer to the website sample (not so light at the top of the downstroke of the d, and also a little darker all over for the b). Love your work Gary
Hi Robin, great news ... #200 is exactly what we are looking for. I will be finalising the contest today. We are very happy with the final outcome. Best regards Gary
