Hi, what a fun contest! Here are my initial designs for your consideration. Thanks!

Hi - you're welcome. Thanks for you hard work so quickly!

On #1 - Love this one. I like the abstractness that still evokes the idea of a "constellation" and the use of color that enhances that. I think the spiral may be a little too tight as a design in itself - if that makes any sense. Not sure - it kind of evokes a whirlpool or octopus as it is. But the core idea is very solid and I like this one very much.

On 2 and 3 -
#2 - the space font is pretty cool.
both - the idea behind creating a CK with stars is neat, but I'm not overly fond of the execution - I know it's meant to be a little abstract like stars actually are, but it might work better just being more clearly done in a field of stars... like on #3 as far as the field/bkg is concerned.

On # 4 - I actually think the idea of the framed "window" of space is really cool. I like this overall design, though the constellation of the "CK" has the problems I mention in the last comment on #2 and #3. But this is a neat, symmetrical execution. Great stuff overall, thank you.

Hi, thanks for your feedback! I always love getting into a contest early. Gives me more time to work with you to perfect my ideas! I've created a few new entries, but I do plan to keep working. Thanks!

Hi Lindsey -
Like the iterations on this one. Love to see something else done with the box o'space one, entry #4. Maybe jsut a starfield in the box, maybe something else? Just not the super literal CK constellation. Thanks!

Hi, here is a take on the star field idea that you posed. I'm not sure that this would make as strong a branding mark as some of my other submissions, but it's certainly a neat effect! Your feedback is always welcome, and I will keep working on this. Thanks!

Hey Lindsey -
could you play with the font a little bit - in # 1 and 9? I think the A in the word looks cool, but might look dated pretty quickly. Do you think?

Hi! Thank you for your feedback. I've created a slew of font options for you, each one having slightly different characteristics which I will comment on. Thank you for your consideration!

#102 - Same font as original submission, but I've crossed the "A". I kept the slant on the "A", as it mirrors the slant in the upper arm of the "K" and gives the wordmark a forward motion.
#103 - A fat display font with rounded, somewhat condensed letters (maybe a little too bold with the abstract mark).
#104 - A slab serif font that has a modern feel (I'm partial to this one).
#105 - A font I used in other designs that you had remarked about thinking it's cool.
#106 - A modern, slightly angular, slightly rounded condensed sans serif font.
#107 - A clean, crisp, straightforward sans serif font in all caps.
#108 - The same font as #107 but with "constellation" in all lowercase.
#109 - I thought you might like to see how the logo and wordmark could look side by side. A lot of companies that use a simple abstract or pictoral mark that is separate from the wordmark like to have these kinds of standard variations on the orientation of the logo, so they have options for usage depending on the medium. For example, side by side may work well at the bottom of a video or in a document header.

If you end up deciding to go with my design, I will definitely provide you with variations in color (full color, one color, grayscale, reversed, etc.).

Please don't hesitate to let me know if you'd like to see any additional tweaks.

Many thanks!
Lindsey
