We're going to shrink the image and use it for our 12 boxes at the top of our site as well as a larger version to replace the ISC image
http://www.securitywizardry.com/radar.htm
so it needs to be readable in both sizes, unless we have 4 images for each the larger one more complex and the smaller one simple

if we are using this single color style it will be clearly visible from long distance or in a glance since the outer ring (bars) will have only one color as the status.

nice concept could you replace the red colors on the rim with the 4 colors and then have the pointer point to the alert color?

when it show level as "guarded", 4 first bars will be blue and the rest are grey, status text will be blue too (right now it said critical and red)
