Discussion

I am very intereted in seeing submissions from other designers. I have a good feel for ichisofyans style but I would really like to see other designers styles. Thank you ichisofyan for your efforts

Still very interested in seeing different designs.. I do realise that my business name is quite long, containing 3 longer words which might create some limitations, but i would like to see different approaches.

Perhaps the addition of some symbols may help? Ideas may include images of:

*RACING HELMET- Example http://members.westnet.com.au/skaifey/Images/HRTLogoBlack.jpg

*TACHO - Example http://lm3.izwan00.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Logo-01.jpg and

*RACING WHEEL / TYRE - Example http://www.speedzonemagazine.com/zones/div%20zone/div%207/div7-logo.jpg

*GEAR LEVER - Cannot find good example

*Race Start Lights - Example http://www.nhra.net/2009/images/gainesville/JDRL-4c2009.jpg AND http://www.kaosmedia.com.au/portfolio/large/topsportsmanlogo.jpg

Another option may be to use the acronym of my business name CMS as the focal point and the name Competition Motorsport Supplies under it.

I am not set on any of the above ideas, my whole motive of using logo tournament is to get as many ideas and different styles as possible. I am very open to your ideas, after all, I am not a logo designer!

Thank you "issues" for the tips! its obvious that I need to improve how I am doing this, this is my first time using Logo Tournament so i am still figuring it all out. I apologise if I have offended any designers i have put in the "not interested" section, from now on I will rank and comment instead.

thanks

Ok so after looking through pages of logos in other competitions, i car noticed a trend forming of the things i like in these logos:

*Boldness
*Bright bold colours

Another thing I might mention to the designers.

My above idea of perhaps adding symbols such as:
*RACING HELMET, *TACHO, *RACING WHEEL / TYRE , *GEAR LEVER , RACING START LIGHTS is to add some impact to the logo and make it interesting. It is important to mention that we do not sell any of these items, so i would prefer if they are not the prime focus of the logo

thanks

my website is www.compmotorsports.com.au if anyone would like to get a feel for what we sell and do

Ok so im learning what i like as we go along. I really like when why company name is the main part of the logo, so either "competition motorsport supplies" or "cms" as the central part of the logo that takes the most room and then the other elements, such as pictures etc around the words

thanks

Another possible design I have thought of is to incorperate an outline of a racing driver into the logo. Either just an outline or maybe a silhoette. Here are some examples to show you what a racer looks like. I particularly like the first one.

Logo Designer
Hello Comp Motorsports,

Please be aware that the use of a likeness to "The Stig" is claimed as Intellectual Property of the BBC England. Not even Ben Collins (the actual "Stig") was allowed to use his own likeness.

Good luck to all. :)

ok thank you for that, if we go with the race car driver image i will make sure it is different
