This concept gives the logo the warmth and professional feel you are looking for, introducing human profiles in the negative space, face to face (communication) and also forms the letters D and C in the positive space. I can make it more classical or change color and font to reach the final outcome that you desire. Thank you!
Also, the whole pictogram resembles a butterfly, which again gives the logo a feminine and warm feeling, it connects with people at a deeper level. You can definetely use this as a background watermark for bussines cards or stationery, and it has a unique form different from the generic shapes.
I am blown away. I really like this concept a great deal. I really really do!!! I have to take a call and then I will return with a few questions. Thank you so much for the various iterations of it. I like them ALL!
Here are a few other variations so u can expand your view on what colors and layour you would like. I've connected the faded lines to the slogan to sustain the slogan itself visually ('connecting to your market'). Feedback will be highly productive. Thank you!
A few questions for you....If #77 ends up being the winning design, am I able to receive it in the dark backgound and white print, as well as the reverse? That way I could apply whichever version worked better to letterhead, brochures, etc. While I really like the multiple meanings of the image and the uniqueness of it, my only concern is that some of what I do is writing and for example, manuscripts and books, political writing, etc. I think it still works, because even in those applications, we are still connecting to people. I'm just still thinking! Thank you so much, I really like your work.
Hello mtate, You will receive the design in any format you like, and all of the variations presented here if you want them, also black and white and inversed. I know that the design is somewhat not your average logo and you're thinking if you're not taking chances here, but you might stand out with this, be different, and most of the time it is not important what the image says but what feeling is produced within your clients. I persoanlly believe that this would be a strong brand which WILL create a strong connection with your target audience. The biggest brands of the world which have created these kind of connections to their clients dont have a logo that is straight forward (orange doesn't have a phone, microsoft doesn't have an M or a computer and i could go on and on, and this apllies to all industries). Thank you for the feedback, it's important for us both in the end.
Thought of another concept. I used the quote symbol (very symbolic for communication and writing) to form an even more subtle DC. Simple and memorable. Thought you might like to expand your horizons before the contest is over. It's important for me that you are sure of what you choose.
I am just thinking here....I wonder if for my manuscript writing projects, I have the quote version and for my other work use the faces.. that may not work but then it would be customized to both avenues. That may not be necessary and I may be fine with just 77 for everything. I guess the struggle I am having is that I am moving into some political writing, speech writing and think that #111 may work nicely to represent those clients. Thoughts? Is there any way to soften the quotes in #111 so they are a bit more feminine? You are awesome! THANKS for everything!
Please don't get the wrong impression that I extended the contest. It wasn't to allow for other designs from other people, it was just to finish this conversation. I just knew you must be busy and wanted to follow up on a few points with you (above comments) before the contest officially closed. I can still end it early and your designs are where I am most at peace. I just was feeling the pressure of the closing hours and wanted a bit more time to finalize. Thank you and I will look forward to discussing more with you soon. I am very grateful!
Hello. Thank you very much for the ample feedback. I have some comments and advice I will give you but I hope you don't mind if I reply tomorrow because it is very late in my country and I have some 'cannot wait' things I have to take care of. I'm also glad you extended because it gives me a chance to give you some tips for your company's visual identity and resolve the issues at hand. Thank you again for being the ideal CH.
Hello. I'm back. So. Ass I see it, if you are indeed leaning to choose something more meaningfull than playing it safe, you have two options. First one would be to keep #77 ONLY, for the following reasons: it reaches at a deeper level, it will be seen as a brand that creates connections through marketing, public relations AND political writing (if you could detail a little bit more about what exactly political writing is, i have a pretty good idea but I want to give you advice with all info on the table). Second option would be, as you mentioned, to keep both #77 and #113 (i will upload a concept today which I think would be better instead of #113) and thus create subsidiaries (or subbrands). In this case, you need to have a common element to connect visually the two logos to one mother brand. I would go for the second option if you're not that keen in risking (which I am and strongly advise in this case:) I could show you variations of the logos you like with different gradients and backgrounds. Just ask. Thank you! I'll be waiting for your thoughts.
Here is something that will work. You can use this for the writing and manuscripts and #77 for marketing and public relations. These two work together and can be seen as belonging to the same mother brand when used in letterheads etc.
Ok so I see you are considering #61. That would be great because I can create a second logo with that same circle contour for you to use for political writing. What do you think?
Please forgive my being so out of the loop. I have been swamped on another project and am just coming up for air. With either 142 or 158, is there a way to make it look more like a quill pen, that has a point? I like both of those but I am concerned that at first glance it looks more like a feather and less like a quill pen? Just a thought?
