Here are some of my proposals. Instead of creating a separate icon / typography combination, I've created an all encompassing logo / unit. One that can be used for additional elements just as watermarks. All have that slight vintage, throwback vibe to them, and hopefully something you could see on the side of an old brick building.
The logo is 100% vector so will scale well to any size, and works well in full colour, B&W and on coloured backgrounds if needed,
It would be my pleasure to work up any variations so please do say. I look forward to your comments or thoughts.
Angus, entries #5 and #6 are close to what we envision. I'd like to see the words 'Commencement Bay' on one line and more prominently featured than 'Brokers.' Would also like to see what entry #5 looks like with a gold border on the font.
Number 11 looks very much like the direction we've discussed. Angus, can you darken the shade of red a bit, and mix in a rich tone of gold somewhere (all the buildings on our block have gold street numbers). Also, the established isn't a good sell for us, so lets take that out. Is there a way to make this a little more emblematic - similar to the decal that we submitted (encompassed by an oval or round)?
Sorry for the delay - I'm based in the UK, so was catching an early night :)
Not a problem at all, here are a few variations;
#17 - Black background, white text + gold shadow #18 - As per above just without the shadow on the text #19 - Black background, gold text + white shadow #20 - As per above just without the shadow on the text
Thanks for the feedback, glad you like them ... If you need any other changes do say, ill do them tomorrow for you (getting an early night here in the UK).
Angus - really close, and about to wrap. Can you tweak #52 to make the C in Commencement larger than the rest of that word, and same with the B in Bay?
Finally....Can you make Real Estate 'Pop' more - larger font, bolder, or something, so it is easier to distinguish what we do?
Not a problem at all, I can do that. Would you like the bigger C and B so its lines up at the bottom of the other letters and raised higher at the top OR bigger but horizontally aligned so the C and B stick out above and below the other letters? Hope that made sense :-)
