For the collectordash part, I've used a Thirties font - to harmonize with the "collectible" concept. And, of course, if you're going to spell out DASH, you really need to spell out DOT. Plus it gives it a nice balance.
Saturninus, I just finished posting a comment to the group on this contest.
I have recieved dozens of private emails over the last two days telling me that we were just trying to do too much with our logo. Since this feedback is coming from some great designers around the world, I felt I needed to listen. Based on that, we modified what we want to achieve in this first contest.
A strong brandable, stylized "DASH" that will be consistent accross all of our sites and categories. We will then have other contests over the coming months for logo designs for the categories that will incorporate the "DASH" from this contest.
By the way, you have done what we ultimately decided needed to be done. Keep a consistent CollectorDASH across all of the categories. The big difference being that we want DASH to be prominent, strong, and bold. I pointed out some examples in my post to the group. We are not wild about any of the ones that I pointed out. But they were good examples of a stylized "DASH"
Let me know if you have any questions, I will be focusing on this exclusively for the next several days and giving regular feedback.
