Hi JR2 and thanks a lot for participating in our contest!
I especially like entry #57, which I feel captures one of the core concepts in e-learning: The ability to learn at your own desired time and pace. This logo is very simple and easy to decode and I would like to see #57 on a completely white background and with subtle, grayed out text. My colleagues, however, aren't entirely sold on the idea of these icons yet, so I would also love to see an alternate take on illustrating e-learning from you. What we are looking for is a logo which immediately signals e-learning, such as
#26 and #75. A logo which somehow captures the essence of digital learning – either through recognizable symbols such as: hand, laptop/screen, man in front of computer, mouse, cursor – or the interactivity between human and the digital learning experience. There can be many more ways to illustrate this, but it is very important to us, to have a logo, where the illustration can "speak" for itself – even without the explanatory wording "e-læring". If you think of yourself taking an e-learning course – which abstractions do that bring to mind? What would you focus on, and how could you explain the process in one simple illustration?
I hope you see what I mean – and I really hope you'll stay active in the contest as we are yet to see the winning logo :)
Cheers,
Christian
