Hi everyone, welcome to the contest and to Cocktail Gastronomy!
We have designed a new concept in catering - matching food with cocktails. Basically we are creating dishes to marriage our signature cocktails. This form of service has not been done before in Australia (to our knowledge after extensive research).
A lot of time has been spent creating these dishes and designing these cocktails from some of the best chefs and mixologists in the country. We have been very hit and miss with only those marriages screaming absolute perfection making it on to the catering list.
We are more than you everyday caterer or bartender service. We add the WOW factor by bringing this new experience to any event.
So what we need the logo to shout is everything our business stands for: Excellence, cutting edge, innovation, dazzle, a must have experience!
The winning logo will be used for our new website and will instantly appear in an annual and quarterly magazine for functions and venues in Australia. Being a new concept we expect a lot of media coverage. We are already receiving huge interest even before Cocktail Gastronomy is launched.
We do have a couple slogans in mind, but feel free to add your own suggestions to your logos if you wish. We will not hold anything against you.
I will continue to leave feedback in this public forum and any new ideas we come up with that might help with your creative designs.

The cocktails we provide are extremely high end so refrain from usiong cherries on toothpicks or cocktail umbrellas in the logo please.

Hey Dansthemans, I'm just wondering whether they have any garnishes/ things dangling out of the the glass at all? and can you give some examples of what sort of food will be served with the drinks? Thanks!

Our cocktails concentrate on flavours more than garnishes. However we do garnish all our drinks, just nothing too tropical.

Food is all standing canape size which is innovative in both the creation and presentation. We do use a little molecular gastronomy in our cooking style but not as far as say Heston Blumenthal. Some dishes are served under a lid of smoke, on fire, on dry ice, accompanied with perfume atomisers filled with lemon etc. It may be too hard to add a picture of food to the logo, how about incorporating chef knives, chef hat or a ballon whisk?

The chef knives are a bit "too much". If used in the logo they would need to be more subtle. Same with other food orientated pics.
