Clearfield Company, Inc.Logo Design Contest

Very quick response Entry #2. I really, really like the design, however I feel that the company name is not large enough & gets lost. The "Fine Furniture & Design" text is definitely too small. The graphic does not communicate what we do. The graphic is a little too "international"/ antiquey looking.

Thank you Entry #3. I like the bold lettering. I would go with a more contemporary looking font however. For "Fine Furniture & Design" I would definitely not use a script font- italic would be O.K. but it should be modern looking. I like that the graphic is "nature" based but would prefer that it be more "tree" like as opposed to "potted plant". Thank you!

Entry #3- I do like the font.

Entry #2 used the best font so far. Also, check new & updated parameters (as of 1/20/09, 10;50 P.M. est)

#7 and #15- Thank you, however it is a little too traditional looking for me.

#10- Thanks for your post, however I feel like the logo looks too "corporate". While the font is modern it looks a little unrefined to me.

#13- Too "corporate" looking. I like your others entries much better. Thanks.

#14- Another great entry! I like this one, but don't really like how the smaller trees lean into the one in the middle. I would be interested in how it would look with different a species of trees. I would also be interested to see how it would look with a more artistic, abstract tree design. I like the arch that the trees sit on but don't feel like you need to keep it if it doesn't work with other tree designs. I like the font in #2 the best- I like how the letters are spread out in the "Fine Furniture & Design" text.

#6- I like better than your other entries, but is still too traditional looking. Thanks.

#9- Thank you for your entry, however it is not very contemporary looking to me. We like "clean lines" in a font and not a curvy, rounded ones.

#8- Nice strong design but too traditional looking.

#16- Thank you but too "corporate" looking. Very cold looking.

#17- Thanks, but I don't think the swoosh integrates well with the tree.

#12- Thank you for your entry, however I think the logo would be more fitting for an architecture firm.

#18- Really nice design. I would prefer if the text in "Fine Furniture & Design" did not come all the way out to meet the edges of the text above it- I like the relationship of the 2 lines of text from your entry #2. I'm still interested in how it would look with different trees, but really, really, really like what you've done with #18!

#23- Thank you for your entry. I think the graphic is too traditional & the font not refined enough.

#20- I like the original tree better because it is more dense with branches, which adds color to the design.

#26 & #27- Thank you for your entries, however I feel the design is too "electronic" looking.

#28- The company name really needs to be present in the logo. We are not big enough to be instantly recognized by that logo. I also think that the wood grain makes the overall design too busy. Thanks.

#24- I like this one much better than your first entry. Originally I didn't want any hand tools depicted but I like your design. I think it may not be immediately apparent to people that it is a chisel, so you may need to show a little more of the tool. While the font is modern, it is not very refined looking. Can you change the font? I would also like for you to include "Fine Furniture & Design" in the logo. Thanks.

#20- I think the trees in this one are too austere looking and too many of them. The original tree is warmer & friendlier looking.

#25- Thanks for your entry. I would like to see more of your ideas.

#26- I am not a fan of the interlocking "C's" but am interested in any other ideas you have. Thank you.

#30 & #31- Thanks for your entries. As far as an oval design is concerned, I think #8 works but #30 & #31 do not. I would be interested in a version of #8 with a different graphic in the center. Thanks.

#23- I would be interested in seeing this design with a different font and different graphic in the background. The graphic needs to be a little darker though & a different color because I fell like it gets lost because it is too light. Thanks.

#51- We really like the "freshness" of your design/tree, but would like to see a different font- one that is a little more slender. We would also be interested in how an "emblem" style logo would look with the same elements. Thanks!

#55- We would be interested in what can you come up with in "emblem" style using different colors than in this submission. Thanks!

#52- Thanks for this entry but we feel the graphic doesn't fit with what we do. It's a little too techno. We do like the use of 2 different fonts in "Clearfield Company" but don't like the font used for "Clearfield". We'd like to see the use of 2 different fonts in #51. Thanks!
