our website person suggested also orienting the logo in a horizontal orientation so, could we also see this same graphic on the left with the words "Clarity in Yoga" to the right of the graphic then a line beneath "Clarity in Yoga" and then our tag "practice with purpose, movement with meaning" beneath that?
Can you also make the 45 degree rays thinner?
Thank you.
Hi, here's the darker petals (halfway between #255 & #260 )
if you are sure with my last update, you can close the contest then I'll send you the final files. Thanks ;)
This is looking pretty good. :-) Can you make the petals just a little darker? Say, halfway between this and #255?
Can you make the 45 degree rays thinner?
updated version of #259
the center ray is same size as the horizontal line, the space around the center and side petals give an illusion as if its shorter.
Can you make central petal wider as in #255 and water curve downwards as in #255 & #259? Bottom leaves may need to be adjusted so there isn't a big white space between the lotus and the blue water
Although it looks like central ray is not quite as long s side rays? Not sure if this is true or an optical illusion. Central ray could be a little taller.
45 degree rays still too long. Should be about half the length of vertical 7 horizontal rays.
White fuzzy gradient should be contained to about half this diameter or it makes too much of the lotus look pale. Just to the tips of the half size diagonal rays should be enough.
prefer blue waves with upward cupped hands instead of this small hill up in center.
Can we try this one with the white star having the long vertical and 90 degrees horizontal arms and shorter arms at 45 degrees? probably the center of the star will need to be moved up a little so the side arms can go horizontally
Much better! My wife had to leave so we didn't have time to sort the new better ones. We like the maroon/magenta gradient better than the solid color of 221. The Gold semi-circles with two lighter areas above and below looks great too: like light shining off a gold wedding ring. Font is very good - almost perfect. Could be just slightly bendy in the arms of the "Y". Good change in color between the two lines. The "In Yoga" is a little hard to read when we look at the design in a small size. Maybe the darkness of the "In Yoga" could be increased to make it be a little more legible when small size?
We like the general shape of the design with the graphic elements on top of the text. We prefer this more upright lotus to the one in #141. The gold could be a more lustrous yellow-gold and have a gradient in it from tips to center. We do like that the two semi-circles have different thickness from tips to center. We don't really care for the lavender color of the lotus and of the word "Clarity". We do like that the word Clarity is one color and the words in yoga are another color. We are leaning towards stronger/bolder/deeper colors than we were in the beginning - less pastel and more attention getting but we don't mean neon type colors - more deep maroons etc. Something with more contrast against eh white so it stands out.
Hi, yes I can see the font in the first place. Although it's a free font, I'm not sure if I allow copying. Let's see what I can do, meanwhile this is another font that has a similar style.
here's the updated version as suggested.
colors are just a bit too pastel and color for the lotus is a little muddy. I like the two semi-circles, my wife is ok with it. Font is in the right direction but could be better. We don't know if you can see each others designs at this point but our favorite font is the one that is in first place (if you can see the rankings). We also liked the white gradient applied to the star in Max K's maroon and light purple lotuses.
#126 font better. #135 lotus is our favorite of the ones you have sent. I like circle around like in 140 but my wife thinks it might make it look too contained.
Thanks for taking the time in giving constructive comments to my proposed design.
Please check my new entries for the revised version of the petals of the lotus as suggested. Let me know what you think.
There is nothing wrong with the person with their arms up in the shape of a "Y" expressing elation, exuberance, enlightenment, freedom etc. but we've seen this type of logo used so often that we want to have something more unique. So we are avoiding this kind of design.
The lotus looks a little like the famous Sydney opera house which is fine but it is not for us. We are looking for a simple lotus with curvey "s" shaped tips mostly pointing upwards. These petals look too rigid to us - more like a clam shell opening. Again, nothing wrong with the design - just not what we are looking for. Perhaps the word "in" could be smaller to give more weight to Clarity & Yoga. Maybe Clarity could be a bit larger in comparison to yoga to give it even more weight and importance. The font is in the right direction but not perfect. The shape of the "C" is a little soft. Our method of yoga is precise, accurate & elegant so we are looking for a font that has the precision, clarity, sharpness and exactness of a modern sans serif with just a little bit of flow and artistic personality of a serif typeface. For example, the Arms of the "Y" could be a little curvey. The "C" in clarity has a thicker middle which is good but it seems to be weighted towads the bottom of the Chair which makes it look heavy. Also It is more rectangular in shape so less open than if it were more circular in shape. I'm not crazy for the execution of the flaring in the letter "Y" which is just a linear thickening as it goes towards the tips. The semi-circle and star are nice. maybe the star could be a different color to draw attention to it.
simple lotus is in the right direction. We want the word 'Clarity' to be emphasized and not the word 'in.' Tips of the lotus petals could point more up at least for the two petals closest to the center petal. Maybe a little more "s" curve to the tips.
