We'll go with this but please send the Horizontal layout too. Great job! Thank you. 4 years ago greenlite commented on #267 Withdrawn - text in all caps 4 years ago greenlite commented on #266 Withdrawn - the text in title case - similar font as #265 - divided by line - tagline underneath 4 years ago greenlite commented on #268 Withdrawn update: 45deg rays thinner 4 years ago edmarks commented on #265 our website person suggested also orienting the logo in a horizontal orientation so, could we also see this same graphic on the left with the words "Clarity in Yoga" to the right of the graphic then a line beneath "Clarity in Yoga" and then our tag "practice with purpose, movement with meaning" beneath that? Can you also make the 45 degree rays thinner? Thank you. 4 years ago greenlite commented on #264 Withdrawn Hi, here's the darker petals (halfway between #255 & #260 ) if you are sure with my last update, you can close the contest then I'll send you the final files. Thanks ;) 4 years ago edmarks commented on #260 Withdrawn Hi, so do I need to do anything different now that the contest has ended? We like your design the best. We just want to work out the smaller details. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #260 Withdrawn This is looking pretty good. :-) Can you make the petals just a little darker? Say, halfway between this and #255? Can you make the 45 degree rays thinner? 4 years ago edmarks commented on #259 Withdrawn too much white space under star. 4 years ago greenlite commented on #260 Withdrawn updated version of #259 the center ray is same size as the horizontal line, the space around the center and side petals give an illusion as if its shorter. 4 years ago greenlite commented on #261 Withdrawn updated version of #257 4 years ago edmarks commented on #257 Withdrawn Can you make central petal wider as in #255 and water curve downwards as in #255 & #259? Bottom leaves may need to be adjusted so there isn't a big white space between the lotus and the blue water 4 years ago edmarks commented on #257 Withdrawn Star and white fuzzy gradient are perfect on this one! 4 years ago edmarks commented on #257 Withdrawn water should curve downwards as in #255 & #259 4 years ago edmarks commented on #258 Withdrawn water should curve downwards as in #255 & #259 4 years ago edmarks commented on #259 Withdrawn Although it looks like central ray is not quite as long s side rays? Not sure if this is true or an optical illusion. Central ray could be a little taller. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #259 Withdrawn However, length of cardinal rays compared to 45 degree rays is better here than in #255 4 years ago edmarks commented on #259 Withdrawn too much white gap between star and water. prefer the flower to continue closer to water as in #255 4 years ago greenlite commented on #259 Withdrawn updated version based on your latest feedback. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #258 Withdrawn 45 degree rays still too long. Should be about half the length of vertical 7 horizontal rays. White fuzzy gradient should be contained to about half this diameter or it makes too much of the lotus look pale. Just to the tips of the half size diagonal rays should be enough. prefer blue waves with upward cupped hands instead of this small hill up in center. 4 years ago greenlite commented on #257 Withdrawn lower the position of the bottom left & right petals so each of the arms of the star pointing directly to the petals 4 years ago greenlite commented on #258 Withdrawn Hi, here's the update of the star appears in horizontal with 45deg shorter arms. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #256 Withdrawn star too small and ray snot lining up with the petals so I prefer other ones. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #231 Withdrawn Can we try this one with the white star having the long vertical and 90 degrees horizontal arms and shorter arms at 45 degrees? probably the center of the star will need to be moved up a little so the side arms can go horizontally 4 years ago edmarks commented on #230 Withdrawn Blue is not dark enough so we prefer 231 4 years ago edmarks commented on #231 Withdrawn Yes, we prefer this to 222 and to 230 4 years ago greenlite commented on #230 Withdrawn IN YOGA in deeper blue 4 years ago greenlite commented on #231 Withdrawn hi, I enlarge the word IN YOGA using the same color from CLARITY with the arms of the Y bending. Let me know what you think. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #221 Withdrawn Better but we much prefer #222 4 years ago edmarks commented on #222 Withdrawn Much better! My wife had to leave so we didn't have time to sort the new better ones. We like the maroon/magenta gradient better than the solid color of 221. The Gold semi-circles with two lighter areas above and below looks great too: like light shining off a gold wedding ring. Font is very good - almost perfect. Could be just slightly bendy in the arms of the "Y". Good change in color between the two lines. The "In Yoga" is a little hard to read when we look at the design in a small size. Maybe the darkness of the "In Yoga" could be increased to make it be a little more legible when small size? 4 years ago greenlite commented on #222 Withdrawn maroon & magenta gradient 4 years ago greenlite commented on #221 Withdrawn Hi, what you think about this updated version? 4 years ago edmarks commented on #208 Withdrawn The lotus is too complex for our taste. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #214 Withdrawn We like the general shape of the design with the graphic elements on top of the text. We prefer this more upright lotus to the one in #141. The gold could be a more lustrous yellow-gold and have a gradient in it from tips to center. We do like that the two semi-circles have different thickness from tips to center. We don't really care for the lavender color of the lotus and of the word "Clarity". We do like that the word Clarity is one color and the words in yoga are another color. We are leaning towards stronger/bolder/deeper colors than we were in the beginning - less pastel and more attention getting but we don't mean neon type colors - more deep maroons etc. Something with more contrast against eh white so it stands out. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #214 Withdrawn This is looking nice to me but my wife is out so will have to wait till she gets back for more comments. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #214 Withdrawn Sorry, I didn't know that wasn't allowed. The rules weren't explained to me in the instructions. 4 years ago greenlite commented on #214 Withdrawn Hi, yes I can see the font in the first place. Although it's a free font, I'm not sure if I allow copying. Let's see what I can do, meanwhile this is another font that has a similar style. here's the updated version as suggested. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #141 Withdrawn We like the shape of the lotus in 193 better. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #193 Withdrawn Though we do like the shape of this lotus better than the shape of the lotus in 141. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #141 Withdrawn Can you make the 2 semi-circles around the lotus in gold? 4 years ago edmarks commented on #193 Withdrawn colors are just a bit too pastel and color for the lotus is a little muddy. I like the two semi-circles, my wife is ok with it. Font is in the right direction but could be better. We don't know if you can see each others designs at this point but our favorite font is the one that is in first place (if you can see the rankings). We also liked the white gradient applied to the star in Max K's maroon and light purple lotuses. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #141 Withdrawn We both like the circle divided by the water. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #142 Withdrawn Wife doesn't like the semi-circle though I like it in the other color and I think the spacing is a little different too? 4 years ago edmarks commented on #146 Withdrawn we like this lotus better than the lotus that has the star in between the petals 4 years ago edmarks commented on #145 Withdrawn wife likes water under lotus better than concentric circles. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #145 Withdrawn It has a quietly nice feeling with the calmness of the teal horizontal base/waves the radiation from the center of the lotus and the rising star. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #146 Withdrawn Will leave for wife to look at 4 years ago edmarks commented on #144 Withdrawn Actually, Clarity should be larger than in yoga. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #142 Withdrawn Will leave here for wife to look at. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #144 Withdrawn Will leave here for wife to look at. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #145 Withdrawn Will leave here for wife to look at. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #143 Withdrawn This is also good. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #141 Withdrawn This is my favorite. My wife isn't here at the moment so I'll leave the other ones here till she can look at them. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #147 Withdrawn font better. petals too thin. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #133 Withdrawn #126 font better. #135 lotus is our favorite of the ones you have sent. I like circle around like in 140 but my wife thinks it might make it look too contained. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #140 Withdrawn Two semi-circles are nice. Larger Clarity is good though font needs changing. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #126 Withdrawn Can you use arc of 136 with this one and lotus of 135? 4 years ago greenlite commented on #141 Withdrawn Hi, here's the update using the font from 126 4 years ago edmarks commented on #135 Withdrawn #126 font better 4 years ago edmarks commented on #134 Withdrawn #126 font better. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #136 Withdrawn Can you use that font with this graphic? 4 years ago edmarks commented on #136 Withdrawn My wife isn't here so these comments are just me. Semo circle over lotus is nice. Font is not as good as #126 4 years ago edmarks commented on #140 Withdrawn font in 126 better. This font too thick. Larger Clarity is better here. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #132 Withdrawn font on 126 still better but not perfect. lotus is better 4 years ago edmarks commented on #130 Withdrawn same comments on font. font on 126 still better but not perfect 4 years ago greenlite commented on #131 Withdrawn Thanks for taking the time in giving constructive comments to my proposed design. Please check my new entries for the revised version of the petals of the lotus as suggested. Let me know what you think. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #131 Withdrawn font on 126 still better but not perfect 4 years ago edmarks commented on #131 Withdrawn font is in the right direction but too thick - not light & elegant enough. Clarity is more prominent now which is good 4 years ago edmarks commented on #129 Withdrawn see earlier font comments 4 years ago edmarks commented on #124 Withdrawn There is nothing wrong with the person with their arms up in the shape of a "Y" expressing elation, exuberance, enlightenment, freedom etc. but we've seen this type of logo used so often that we want to have something more unique. So we are avoiding this kind of design. The lotus looks a little like the famous Sydney opera house which is fine but it is not for us. We are looking for a simple lotus with curvey "s" shaped tips mostly pointing upwards. These petals look too rigid to us - more like a clam shell opening. Again, nothing wrong with the design - just not what we are looking for. Perhaps the word "in" could be smaller to give more weight to Clarity & Yoga. Maybe Clarity could be a bit larger in comparison to yoga to give it even more weight and importance. The font is in the right direction but not perfect. The shape of the "C" is a little soft. Our method of yoga is precise, accurate & elegant so we are looking for a font that has the precision, clarity, sharpness and exactness of a modern sans serif with just a little bit of flow and artistic personality of a serif typeface. For example, the Arms of the "Y" could be a little curvey. The "C" in clarity has a thicker middle which is good but it seems to be weighted towads the bottom of the Chair which makes it look heavy. Also It is more rectangular in shape so less open than if it were more circular in shape. I'm not crazy for the execution of the flaring in the letter "Y" which is just a linear thickening as it goes towards the tips. The semi-circle and star are nice. maybe the star could be a different color to draw attention to it. 4 years ago edmarks commented on #125 Withdrawn lotus is to complex. simple lotus is in the right direction. We want the word 'Clarity' to be emphasized and not the word 'in.' 4 years ago edmarks commented on #126 Withdrawn simple lotus is in the right direction. We want the word 'Clarity' to be emphasized and not the word 'in.' Tips of the lotus petals could point more up at least for the two petals closest to the center petal. Maybe a little more "s" curve to the tips. 4 years ago
