Civitas Events Corp.Logo Design Contest

We are a private events company that is set on brining awareness to the tech sector in Alberta. We have two annual events, the Alberta Technology Symposium and the Alberta Blockchain Summit. Our events are educational, collaborate, elegant, well organized and unite all aspects of technology and incorporate government, venture capital, start ups and all levels of business involved or associated in tech. Our audience is everyone.

Blue should be the main colour, a deeper blue around royal in tone, I would like to see what some purple in it would look like but Blue is the main focus with some grey or back

I do not want the logo to be a 'C'. Civitas means community, I would like the logo to represent tech in some way.
Simple, elegant and clean. One of our partners has a website www.koleya.ca, please look at this for inspiration and colour scheme. There are three partners in the business, all entrepreneurs who are passionate about tech and our province of Alberta .
