There's disagreement about whether this looks more like a chicken or eagle - I think the red part makes it very clear, but if we can only print some of the colors, then it might not end up red. Maybe the hat could leave and the top of the rooster gets some red on top? Can the bow go away? Maybe a clearer font for "Cook-Off." I'm not sure about the orange behind the chicken, but think it would look too empty if left blank….
On #19….could the chicken be wearing an apron? All the cooks wear matching green aprons (I'll upload a picture in a second) - not sure if there is a way to get the organization's main logo on it, but that'd be awesome. And a larger orange in the chicken's hand? Maybe the words Citrus & Celery could be orange?
http://cookoff.oviedotraditions.org (I can't find a way to upload a picture of just the apron, but it's the main logo, that I *think* is in the contest brief on a shamrock green apron. Love the updates!
#24 - the bigger orange looks good! Love the apron. The wording is still hard to read though….better in white…maybe just make "Cook-Off" white (and a little bigger) too? The apron looks a little like overalls (good call showing a bit of the bow)…hoping to get more feedback from others about their thoughts. . .could be be wearing a medal? Like he won the cook-off? There needs to be something to break up the white, but the apron doesn't leave enough visual separation between the greens.
Also, the brighter green of the St. Pat's hat chicken (the original) is terrific for the celery. Lots of energy and true to the color of the aprons worn in the event.
Nice! Would this be a full color printing sort of thing for a T-shirt? I was thinking the medal instead of the apron, but someone walked by just now as I was looking and said the apron is too awesome to skip :) So….could we try the CITRUS & CELERY style of #19 on #24 and the "Cook-Off" from 39/40? (The medal plus apron is too much going on).
