Citrus & Celery Cook-OffLogo Design Contest

On #1, the orange looks a little mean, but the celery….it reminds me of the celery that the trash cans in the town used to be painted with (Oviedo used to be the Celery Capital of the World….so I guess the way the town thought celery-painted trash cans was the way to celebrate :) Maybe the celery and a friendlier orange side by side and the words less emphasized?

Solid circle and square logos really are not the best for shirt printing... the ink gets too heavy on the shirt and they are no longer comfortable... My primary business is to print on promotional materials including shirts.

Oviedo grew more oranges than the sour stuff though :) Loving the new face! Now…would you wear it on a T-shirt? I think I just might….maybe the orange and celery a little chummier and ditch the chicken? And perhaps a ribbon sort of thing at the top and bottom for the words - to frame it a bit (and de-emphasize the words…because that produce is so happy :)

#10 is getting GREAT feedback from the committee! They'd like to see a more impactful font and some arms on the orange…or at least the celery's arm behind the orange, like they're better buddies :)

On #25 - the words are still really hard to read…maybe square it up? Love the color striping thing going on and the "ta-da" hands!

trying a more traditional font... but if you have specific fonts you like - let me know

this is a straight 3 color design with no gradients which makes it easier to print on shirts... the elements can be separated for other promotional things and can be re-arranged into different layouts for banners and posters and other promotional materials for the event... as that is my primary business I would love to work with you to get the best promotions for your event.

On #27…that's got the most legible font - but the words are so hum drum. Any idea for something funner? And bolder? "A Loud Thunder" is a free font we have used in the past. Let's try all caps on the CITRUS & CELERY COOK-OFF. Maybe Citrus orange and Celery green and Cook-Off white. A half ribbon up top would still be great - sort of like the one found here: http://www.psdgraphics.com/psd/curled-red-ribbon-banner-psd-template/ more than the one that squiggles around in your other design. But not in red, probably green or orange with a legible font on it (arial or calibri are always nice and legible)

On #27…and chance the orange could be holding a fork and the celery could be holding a knife?

Is there room to get a tiny smile on the celery? (People are going wild for #38 on Facebook, but they want a smile…or some sort of mouth)

(Also, I said the wrong font before - it's call "A Love of Thunder")

Sorry I had to go teach tonight and just did a couple of options before I left to do that... home now and will look for that font.

the font you choose is only free for personal use. IF you decide to use it for your logo then you will need to purchase the rights to use that font separately to be able to copyright the design.

There are some similar ones .. I am uploading one that I happen to have that has a similar grunge effect.

I think that font is ok for nonprofit use….but we can figure that out on our end. Could the fork and knife be a bit bigger/more defined?

(Or should the knife be a spoon so it's not so menacing larger?)

I will try this after my morning meetings at work... it has been a bit rough because my home computer crashed and I am working on a laptop at home for the moment... (if I win maybe it will pay for fixing the broken one!)

We're on the verge of picking #45 as the winner….still like our font better than yours though. We can fix that on our end, but could the spoon not touch the celery? (Would it make the arms look freakishly long? Looks like that's the only solution to get it farther away)…thanks for your feedback and all of your efforts!

I need to go over to my office to get the working files ... will get to this today.

maybe #46 does it... once it is over if selected we will send you all types of variations on the logo art- different formats for different applications - a single color version as well and the characters only and individually.

We're in no super rush! Would love a 1-color design as well as the 4-color….not sure we'll have the budget for all 4 in print, but boy will it look cute on the internet :) THANK YOU!!

You will get a one color version at no extra charge... but you have to trust me that i will send it after the contest... LT only allows one version and two formats to be uploaded... I will send the rest once that is approved. We only charge extra once we are doing different things with it.... but our prices are reasonable - so we would love to quote you on tshirts, mugs, banners, water bottles and more.... as that is what we do.
