Our Ideas & Additional Information
The image of the Koala must be stylised and very original. The koala must look very Australian and lots of fun - like a Disny or cartoon character - but do not copy any existing koala images. The character could be a very modern Koala a web 2.0 koala or a Koala designed using latest graphic trends. The logo type must be very original and fun also - must make you feel like you want to eat it.
The logo should enable the target audience to strongly recognise Australian theme
The logo and Koala character will appear on the packaging. The Chokoala will come individually wrapped as well as being available in a box pack.
The Chokoala is a chocolate shape and we have uploaded an actual example. The Chokoala character you design should be based on this character but made to look more animated and fun.
As a useful link in terms of emblem character - here's something similar to what we want to achieve http://bit.ly/qd2Q5c. In terms of logotype http://bit.ly/nOTzO2
As we all know - chocolate has to have a fun emblem and logotype to get noticed in a busy point of sale environment like confectionary shops and souvenir shops.
Lastly, perhaps a bit unrelated, but we want to design a business that is die cut and shaped like koala ears and nose - see the very quick sketch I attach. Remember, the triedf is primarily for the packaging but our idea to use a shaped business card might trigger something for you! It has been proposed that the final wrapper packaging will also be shaped a similar way - Koala ears are very distinctive and will be noticeable at point of sale!
