When I thought of how to find a playful way to represent card games the fanned card deck kept coming to me. I took this concept and simplified it to a semi-hand draw feel while still trying to keep it refined looking.
It was important for me to keep in mind the multitude of mediums you would need this design to be usable with and feel that it should bridge those gaps easily (including pure black and white prints).
