These are great. On #403 - while we want to reference film, but at the same time be forward looking to a time when all motion pictures will be digital. It might be interesting to see this in the essential components of color (Yellow - Cyan - Magenta). The only "filmed" entertainment that will be with us in fifty years are the images that have been preserved on YCM film stock, hence the connection to the color.
Hello, I saw you comment on the general page and I uploaded few more verions (normal on white background, grayscale, pure black and pure white). Also I've uploaded a grunge version, silver, etc. to show the way the logo can be adapted for different projects (the way Warner Bross change the logo to fit differnt films). Also colors can be adapted also.
Also I designed this logo with the idea of motion in mind so that I can be very nice animated, Some nice color changes and transitions on the squares/frames behind with the running panther in the front etc.
I would really like to hear your opinion about the new entrys and if you have any new ideea you would like to see regarding my design.
Thanks so much, Marius. These new versions are really helpful. The feedback I've received from the team so far is positive, they are even interested in seeing what #729 would look like with either a blue or orange background, and #729 with a pop of color in the text. Lastly, we're debating amongst ourselves whether the text treatment should be serif or sans. Would it be possible to see a version with the Chapman in a serif and the rest sans serif? Or, perhaps with a semi sans serif?
I've uploaded the new versions based on your feedback. I also modified a little the nose and mouth of the panther in the new entrys. I must admit that I used an image of my cat as reference and in the drawing I made it look like a panther :).
Hi Marius. I'd like to see #399 where you replace the blue with orange. Please leave the background and panther in black, but have an orange font and due the shades of orange in the three boxes. Thank you!
#772 is beautiful, but the consensus from the team is that they are still leaning toward #742. The boss thinks he likes the image of #742, but with the text of #399 (both lines serif). Can't thank you enough for the amount of work you're putting into this! More soon...
If there is anything you would like me to change or if do you have other questions please let me know. I will be here for a couple of hours so we can work "live" if you want modifications or other options.
