Our Ideas & Additional Information
- New - We would like to have a stand alone icon as part of the logo. That way we can brand something without using our name if we need to. If a letter is designed in a way that it could also function as that icon, that works as well.

- We don't want to use any wrenches in our logo or anything that ties us only to plumbers.

- We represent pipe and fitting manufacturers but we also rep high end custom tub manufacturers and high end faucet and shower manufacturers.

- In addition, our logo will be used on our industrial website which will cater towards valves and fittings for the oil and gas industry.

Thank you everyone for your work. I had our owner review things this AM and have re-ordered the rankings accordingly. I know that we want to avoid wrenches and that our logo will be used on our plumbing site and our industrial site, so it needs to be relatively strong looking.

After further internal discussion, our description of who we are marketing to may be a little misleading. I forget that everyone is not familiar with the plumbing industry. It might be better to look at our target audience as Architects, Engineers, Designers and Showrooms. Yes, plumbers and plumbing wholesalers are the ground level of the supply chain, but there are also high end corporate type consumers of our brand. I hope this information helps. It might also be helpful to point out on the plumbing / industrial flexibility of the logo that the industrial side deals with oil and gas production. The water droplet concept has the flexibilty of being recolored into an oil droplet, but we are also looking for other ideas that meet this need.

Please don't pull your designs. Our rankings currently reflect our thoughts on concepts, not the particular version of the concepts. We will be refining our rankings tonight and tomorrow morning and having all your versions of your concepts available to view will be helpful. Thanks again.

Something else that has been brought to my attention is having a design that can be embroidered. My understanding is that more complex color schemes and fine details will make that difficult. Obviously our tagline will probably not translate to embroidery.

To clarify, we still want the tag line on our logo. We just won't use it when embroidering. Sorry if I caused any confusion.

We really like the concept of using negative space. Can we please see some more ideas using negative space?

Just an FYI, I'm not sure how the payment structure works for the designers, but all of the finalists will get something. It won't be much in comparison to the grand prize, but you will receive some compensation for your time and effort.
