Color Preferences
The organizational logo for Challenger Center is PMS 299 cyan blue and black. It may be nice to tie in the same blue, but isn't a mandatory.

Colors should be energetic, adventurous, creative and exciting.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Challenger Center currently has 4 simulated missions and is preparing to launch its new mission called Earth Odyssey. A mission is more than a field trip or a computer game. Our simulations are learning environments embedded with activities and lessons aligned with what they students learn in the classroom. The students become astronauts and engineers while solving problems and sharing the thrill of discovery on missions through the Solar System.

Previous mission logos can be viewed here for reference. http://www.challenger.org/learning-center-network/mission-
simulations/

A video of the simulated space mission experience can be found here www.challenger.org/blog/2013/10/01/challenger-center-debuts-new-video/

The logo needs to fit within a vertical rectangle, similar to the sizes of the brand logo and other mission logos.

We want to capture the spirit of the experience and don't need to be 100% literal in the logo, though some representation of the Earth should be used.

You may draw inspiration from real shuttle mission patches https://www.google.com/search?q=NASA+Mission+Patches&rls=com.microsoft:en-US:IE-Address&rlz=1I7GGNI_enUS528&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=WW4OU6TZDdHKsQST7YDICA&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1670&bih=812

Discussion

We don't want to include a space vehicle (for example - the shuttle) in the logo since these vehicles vary at this point in time.

While the mission is about the Earth, it's not necessary to have the Earth in the logo if you feel there's a better way to interpret the excitement and science of the mission.

Incorporating the blue color from our logo is important to a point, but there will be three other missions logos, so we need to vary color so they don't all end up the same color, but still look like they belong together.

We're really enjoying this process! Thanks to everyone who has submitted ideas so far. Make it fun! Color is important. Also, the goal for the students during the mission is to launch a satellite to help study Earth, so incorporating a satellite could also be a possibility.

Thanks again!
