Logo Design Brief

Slogan
Certified by experience, driven by honor.
What We Do
If it’s clear that you haven’t read the details I’ve provided, I won’t be giving feedback on your submission. I’m looking for designers who understand the vision behind Certified Comfort.

Certified Comfort Heating & Cooling isn’t just another HVAC company — we’re a tactical, precision-driven unit built on discipline, honor, and excellence.

Our brand should feel like a U.S. Army Special Forces team for HVAC — think SEAL Team 6 or an elite tactical response unit — but instead of heading into combat, we’re rolling into residential neighborhoods to restore comfort, safety, and reliability to families’ homes.

When homeowners see our vans, they should instantly recognize a professional, trustworthy, elite team. It should give the same sense of security, integrity, and confidence you’d feel if Special Forces showed up to rescue you from chaos — except we’re rescuing people from broken furnaces and failed AC systems.

Our imagery should project:

Military precision (chevrons, shields, disciplined layout)

Strength and honor (eagle or tactical insignia feel)

Trust and integrity (homeowners feel safe and respected)

Elite craftsmanship (we are the special forces of HVAC)

This logo will appear on tactical-inspired vans, uniforms, and marketing materials. It needs to be bold, instantly recognizable, and meaningful, symbolizing personal excellence, integrity, and pride in our mission:

Service Industries
Color Preferences
Desert Tan, Tactical Green, GunMetal/Charcoal, Silver/Steel, Deep Red, Cool Blue.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
I want this logo to feel like the emblem of an elite tactical HVAC unit — strong, professional, and mission-driven — but with heart and human pride behind it.

This brand is veteran-owned and built on values like honor, discipline, and personal excellence. The logo should project confidence, trust, and integrity, but it should also make people feel something — not just another corporate mark or mechanical icon.

When a homeowner sees this logo on our van or a technician’s uniform, I want them to feel secure, like they’ve hired the team that stands for excellence and character. When my technicians wear it, I want them to feel a sense of pride and purpose — that they represent something bigger than themselves.

You can interpret that however you see fit — I’m open to creative directions that balance strength and emotion, precision and warmth.
We’ve explored concepts like eagles, shields, airflow, chevrons, and tactical symbolism, but I’m not locked into any single image.
If your design captures the spirit of duty, pride, craftsmanship, and trust, you’re on the right path.

Don’t overthink HVAC icons — think of this more as a modern insignia or badge of honor that also makes sense for a heating and cooling company.

I’m looking for something powerful enough to turn heads, meaningful enough to inspire pride, and clean enough to live on a van, a shirt, or a business card for years to come.

Discussion

I want the logo to look like it belongs on a U.S. military vehicle — something you’d see stenciled on the side of a Humvee, aircraft, or equipment crate belonging to an elite unit.

But this unit’s mission isn’t combat — its mission is HVAC: heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
Think of it like “SEAL Team 6 of HVAC” — a highly trained, disciplined, elite team dedicated to restoring comfort with military precision and pride.

The logo should combine:

Military precision and rank symbolism (shields, chevrons, tactical markings).

HVAC identity (abstract airflow, red/blue thermal cues, or subtle energy motifs — not fan blades or snowflakes).

Residential market trust — it must still feel professional and safe for homeowners, not intimidating or aggressive.

The result should be a mark that looks like a unit insignia or tactical badge, with clear lettering, clean geometry, and strong presence. It should feel like a mission patch that both homeowners and technicians are proud to see.

This logo should make people think:

“These guys are the special forces of HVAC — professional, precise, and honorable.”

I’ve attached several reference images for inspiration. Please review them carefully and use them as a foundation to either refine or develop your own concept.

Here’s what I’m looking for:

The logo must combine both military and HVAC elements — strength, honor, precision, and technical expertise. If it doesn’t clearly convey both, please don’t submit it.

The design needs to be versatile and scalable — it will be used on vehicle wraps, uniforms, hats, t-shirts, marketing materials, the website, and company swag.

Avoid excessive detail or fine lines. The logo must reproduce cleanly when embroidered on polos and hats, and still look bold on large applications like van wraps and banners.

The overall look should communicate trust, discipline, and professionalism — a tactical, veteran-owned brand homeowners can instantly recognize as HVAC experts.

Please, please do not put any cookie cutter images into my logo. I don't want to see a basic flame or a basic snowflake and I definitely don't want to see a fan as a stock image. If you have a way to make those images more abstract and or put a military vibe to it, I would be interested. But as far as basic clip art, do not put any of that into my logo.

I want to be very clear about what I’m looking for with this logo. The brand identity for Certified Comfort Heating & Cooling must represent the fusion of two worlds: the discipline and strength of an elite tactical or military unit and the trust, professionalism, and technical precision of a top-tier HVAC company. This logo should look like a special operations team that’s been assigned to heating and cooling — powerful, confident, and mission-ready — yet still clearly recognizable as an HVAC brand. It cannot lean too far into the military side or look like a typical HVAC logo; it must merge both identities in a way that feels cohesive and purposeful. Please do not submit designs with generic or cookie-cutter symbols like flames, snowflakes, or fans unless they’re reimagined in an abstract, tactical way. This logo needs to be versatile — clean enough to embroider on hats and uniforms, bold enough for vehicle wraps, and professional enough for a website or proposal. If your design doesn’t clearly capture both the tactical and HVAC elements, it doesn’t fit the mission. I’m looking for creativity, intention, and a sense of power that makes people stop and say, “That’s not just another HVAC company — that’s Certified Comfort.”

Designers, I want to make sure everyone fully understands what this logo needs to communicate. If this logo were sitting by itself on a work van — no name, no text, nothing — someone should be able to look at it and immediately feel that it represents a military-tactical unit designed to repair and service HVAC systems. It needs to embody the same discipline, precision, and strength you’d see in a special-operations emblem, but it also must clearly tie into heating, cooling, or airflow. The goal is for the design alone to tell that story — powerful, professional, and purposeful — even before the words “Certified Comfort” are read.

Design Requirements:

Main Symbol:

A strong, confident eagle centered inside a shield.

The eagle should look disciplined and tactical, not aggressive or cartoonish.

The shield should represent protection, control, and professionalism.

Airflow Representation:

Use red and blue wavy lines to represent heating and cooling.

These lines should feel like airflow or energy flow, not lightning, not fire, and not ice.

The red and blue lines can form part of the shield shape or flow through or behind the eagle — up to your interpretation.

The lines are accents only, not the main focus.

Color Guidelines:

No white anywhere in the design.

Primary colors: Desert Tan, Gunmetal Gray, Muted Red (#C7523A), Muted Blue (#3B80C6).

Optional outlines in silver or dark gray, but keep the overall tone matte and tactical, not glossy or flashy.

Style & Tone:

Clean, strong, and professional — not busy or over-detailed.

Must look great on a van wrap, uniform patch, and embroidered hats.

Should feel like an elite unit emblem, not a traditional HVAC logo.

Important Notes:

Do not use snowflakes, flames, or gears — this must feel original and premium.

The red and blue airflow lines are the only clues that it’s an HVAC company.

The design should instantly convey trust, strength, and mastery of air and comfort.

I’ve uploaded several reference images that were created in ChatGPT — these are now the official design direction moving forward.
Please disregard all previous designs and work exclusively from these new reference images.

Here’s exactly what I’m looking for:

Core Logo Concept:

An eagle inside a shield — strong, tactical, and modern.

The eagle should include flowing or wavy lines that represent airflow (symbolizing heating and cooling).

The overall design should communicate precision, honor, and professionalism, with a military-inspired but premium feel.

Vehicle Application:

Please make sure the logo and graphics look excellent on a 2019 Ford Transit Mid-Roof van.

The van color will be matte green or desert tan, so the design colors must complement and contrast well against those body tones.

You can adjust metallics, gradients, and highlights, but keep the tactical, elite-unit aesthetic.

Style Notes:

Think modern military meets high-end HVAC brand.

Avoid cartoonish or aggressive looks — keep it sleek, clean, and professional.

The logo must look powerful even without text (like an insignia or unit badge).

In short:

Use the uploaded images as the foundation.
Design an eagle-shield emblem with airflow motion, refined for tan or green vans, and make it feel like a tactical HVAC unit.
