I am open, but going for fresh clean & fun.

The logo would be used as a watermark on my photographs.

I have in my mind - depending on favorable logo style (I am open to suggestion) that I might use the pattern element as background design for the website, gift vouchers & letter head etc.

Can you mix creative, art & fun with elegant?

I love this photographers logo-
See how the business name can be separated into its own without the image logo (IE for use on website or where just horizontal font fits, or visa versa, she has used just the image on some stickers, and left off the font.)
