I think you're on the right track Anna! I ultimately want something instantly recognizable that will look good on a package as well as an a bag or a t-shirt with one color.
I think I want to steer clear of lotus flowers and flames. My bars are made from raw ruts and fruit. I don't want to be confused with lotion. The yoga comment was not to be taken literally, just an idea of te kind of woma n who might be eating them. Keep up the great work!
Re: #20, I do like the ponytail! #16 is very nice as well. Maybe a little busy. Perhaps our woman could be holding a fruit? I will post a comment to everyone with the types of fuits and nuts I use in the bars in case you'md like to incorporate them.
#21 is so cute! I'd love to also see one with the Cavewoman in a classic one-shouldered animal print dress and one with her in a cute animal print apron. Keep 'em comin'! :-)
Re: #25, I think there's too much going on there now. I would prefer a separate design with the "gathering" spelling out Cavewoman Bars or something. Also, the trademark symbol is (R) circled R and I don't think it can apply to my whole logo, only the text Cavewoman Bars. Thanks and keep up the good work!
Thanks. Maybe what would look cool is for the Cavewoman Bars font to be updated under the Cavewoman character in the apron. I'd like to see a few different options. Also, we could try some with less fruit around her and more just green leaves. A cleaner look might end up popping more when shrunk down to package size.
I like the basket in #46, but think it would look cleaner to show the Cavewoman holding just one piece of fruit or a pistachio or something. The nuts can be represented in the basket. I think the Cavewoman font is too bold or classic candy bar like. Could you try something that looks like it is made out of cinnamon sticks or bamboo or something. I like the Bars font a lot. Just a reminder, the registered trademark symbol has to come after the word bars.
I think #55 stands out the most on first glance. Can I see it with a strawberry in her hand? The long hair does add a bit of movement, I think. I still also really like #29. It might be fun to see the banner changed up. Maybe a banana leaf of something. Or maybe just another font?
Do you think it would look good for the Cavewoman to be holding a cherry? Maybe by the stem? It might be sexy while still being wholesome and friendly to women. Whatever hooks people in is fine by me. Maybe the "o" in Cavewoman Bars could be a cherry? Just a thought.
Let's see #57 with a strawberry back in her hand. I think the cherries are too small, now that I see them. I like the font on Cavewoman, but I'm not sure I like the W being larger. My husband thinks that the apron stings are competing with the text in the banner, so maybe we could more them out of the way a little more. And I'm thinking the long hair is competing with all of the foliage around her. Keep the hair for now, but cut back on all the fruit and just leave the leaves. Thanks!
I wonder if there is a way to combine #84 and #16. Or #83 and #16. I like the idea of the logo being encapsulated in something like a classic emblem (ala Starbucks). Bright and beautiful but not too busy. It doesn't have to be a circle or an oval either. Or completely enclosed. I'd be open to having 1 or 2 sides open. I'm just thinking of how this logo would look printed on a bag or a t-shirt in the future.
#88 is my favorite of the new designs. I'm not crazy about the sunbursts, though. Instead of having a little pineapple on top, what would it look like if the whole frame was shaped like a pineapple (just the outline shape)? If we stick with this style, It might look best if the Cavewoman went back to wearing her one-shouldered animal print dress instead of just the apron, as without the foliage or the basket, it doesn't read "Cavewoman" as much. Thanks for all of your efforts!
OK, I don't think #91 is going to work. Not as clean as I hoped. Can we just get rid of the sunbursts on #88 and make it a little larger? That might do the trick. Thanks.
One more note on #92 and #93: can we bring back the apron strings? I think it might look cute to see them blowing in the breeze behind the Cavewoman, like her hair.
OK, just got a note from my hubby, Cavewoman Steve, on #92 and #93. He said that the way the words are around the circle now made it too hard for him to read at first glance. He thinks that folks who do not know my product may not what it says without either turning their heads or picking up the bar and turning the package. Now I am all for people picking up my bars, but perhaps on other printed material, it may not work. What if you had the word Cavewoman at the top of the circle and the word Bars at the bottom of the circle? I think we could use one fruit or nut on either side of the circle in between the two words. I love the pineapple dearly and hope it works, but I'm willing to let it go if the scale is off. Can we try a pineapple and a pistachio? Or a pistachio and a cherry?
OK, I have been printing out your various logos to see how they look in different sizes and when #102 is less than 2 inches, the text and the red outline on the circle are a little hard to read. I have 2 ideas on how to fix this:
1. make the font and the outline thicker 2. try reversing the dark brown circle color with the light tan text color
Also, the pineapple is pulling focus because it is yellow (and so darned cute!). Perhaps we can leave it plain for now or add some leaves or something in its place. I would actually love for you to create logos with different colors to represent the different flavors of Cavewoman Bars at some point.
I know we can get something just perfect. I love so many of the elements you have created so far! :)))
Congratulations Anna! Your designs are amazingly beautiful and I know you are going to create the perfect logo or logos for me and Cavewoman Bars. :-)))
Re: the new leaf, my husband says it look too much like Herbalife. He suggested you use a version of the leaf from #83. Basically, the leaves are closer together and almost the same length.
