Really like this...could you try something that doesn't have the bulls head? I am just curious what another option might be like? This is for a grass fed beef jerky line we are launching, targeting athletes that fuel on protein. We still want to keep the logo true to our western roots, buts also eye catching and appealing to athletes of all kinds.
I did have a hard time trying to decide on a small icon to put there, but finally went with a generic "bull-head" because thats what make the fastest connection to beef.
I was thinking of a Flame burning up from the bottom like one of the other Logo's I did. (see Flameworthy BBQ on my profile page). But thought that it didn't have the "beef" connection.
I was also thinking of a "Branding Iron". Not sure if cattle ranchers still brand their cattle :-) but at least it would make a connection to beef.
I'll try a flame and a branding iron. But, I do think the cattle head works great and is representative of your product.
A piece of jerky won't work, becasue it doesn't translate well in illustration. It leaves to much to the viewer to interpret. It could look like a strip of bark or leather, etc. Visually it may not look applealing.
Also, The reason I didn't go with a sports figure or a sorts icon is because it looked total out of place and a little to cute and "gimicky" in a natural beef product logo. Also I shortened the Support text to simply "ALL NATURAL" because to me that says it all. People, Athetes and Fitness buffs undertand the benefit and advantage of natural/organic products, tag lines that get to long can be a disadvantage in a logo for many reasons. A good rule of thumb in a logo is to state your benefit quickly with the least amount of words as possible.
I love your longer slogan "Eat to Fuel, Fuel to Suceed", but I would save it for your first Advertising campaign, it would make a wonderful headline! You could also use it on your package design, it would work great there also. In the logo it will be to small to read and get lost.
Sorry for the delay with all this. I was trying to get feedback from some other people here about the logos. We are wondering if you could use the logo font that we already have (which is our brand basically) and incorporate it into this logo you have created. We feel it is important to keep the brand identity there with staying consistent with our other logos. We are trying to come up with a name for the grass fed line, but haven't come up with it yet. Ideally we would want that to be incorporated into the logo at some point. But your comments above are spot on! It needs to be as simple with text as possible! I am going to see if I can upload the arch Cattaneo Bros, font that I am talking about. I think i like the colors for #4 and #31 best! Thanks so much!
Just tell me the name of the font, I probably have it.
Don't upload the font, you may get in trouble with copyright issues, because technically I don't think you are allowed to distribute the font unless you have purchased a license to do so.
I downloaded it just fine from your post, but I can't use it as a logo because it's pixel format and I need a vector file. Is there a font thats close? I would have much better control over the design and it would be better for you down the road.
I don't think it is a font. Coul you just do the logo that you created without the Cattaneo Bros. text and then I can choose that as the winner and then I can insert it here? Or I could email you it in vector?
