Hello bc.branding! Cannot thank you enough for these entries! Really good stuff. These rankings may swap around as I will be showing these to the founder of the CFFC. Great stuff........The look of entry #9 is easy to read and definitely has a polished feel to it. As I discuss these logos with some folks, I'll follow up with some feedback. On the whole - AWESOME!!!
Glad you are liking them. I will still be tweaking them but feel free to post any feedback you get and I will make revisions accordingly . Thanks! -Brian
Brian - you're killing it!!! Excellent variations to this logo. I'm going to leave them all up and in the ranking as I will be forwarding some other folks to ask their opinions. At the present moment, I can't really ask you for any changes as you've provided so many different variations with all of them excellent. You are the man to beat right now! Job well done! Absolutely appreciate your efforts!
One consideration for #9 is that because the name cuts all the way through the emblem it is important to consider what it will look like on different color backgrounds. Dark backgrounds may cause the text to be difficult to read. I submitted some versions with everything encased in a border to that it doesn't matter what place it on it will always look the same.
Brian - excellent point. With other logos I've had done in the past, I'd typically change the color of the font to be brighter than the color of the shirt the logo is on. However, I think it's an excellent point. The only concern I have is from an embroidery standpoint. I imagine this will be a high stitch count with lots of different colors. What are your thoughts here? The second concern is if we have the logo screen printed....because of the many colors, there will be many screens to be used which will definitely increase pricing. Finally, if we go with Entry #20, could we have a logo variation without the square border so we could use the design on business cards without the logo?
Let me know your thoughts on this....sorry, I didn't mention them before. I've been taking a hard look at these logos and these questions popped in my head. Would love to know your feedback.
If desired I can create a version to be used on dark backgrounds. Not a problem.
What we can do is create a version that utilizes only 1,2 or 3 colors for screen printing/embroidery and keep a full color for print and web purposes. I think the design., while communicating multiple ideas, is styled in a way that it will still hold strong working in just a few colors.
A couple variations of the winning logo is fine. It only takes a few minutes and I can send them to you directly.
