Great design (#50)!! Clearly, given the ranking I gave it! I love the color and the font. I'd like to see a couple of tweaks.
1 - The edges look a little black and that creates a darker image than I'd like. The one in #51 does not have those dark edges so it looks much brighter. I prefer the shape of #50 but just not the dark edges. I'm afraid when it's printed small (think of the size of a return address label), it will just look like a dark blob.
2 - I'd like to see the "image" a little bigger. I think it will make the colors pop more.
3 - I'd like to see if you could add a drop shadow under the image so it looks like it's reflecting off of white lucite. It should look like a mirror image of the piece, but not a mirror of the full piece. That's how it would look if I photographed a piece on a reflecting surface. You can see that I've asked others to create a similar look.
4 -- I like the way it has a slightly 3 dimensional look, but prefer when that's accomplished with highlighting rather than the dark edges. I've also asked others to create that type of look. See if you can put some in. It makes it look more like glass and the pieces on my website.
5 - I like the swirl of the cord integrating with the "K", but would like to see it go through the bail from the left side, not come out of the pendant.
6 - I like the fonts, but the "designs" is hard to read. Please make it either darker (e.g. black) or bigger or bolder. I'm not sure if prefer it on the left or the right of the "y" so you could try either.
7 - Because I don't just sell jewelry, I'd like to add a tag line to the words, under "designs" that says "home-jewelry-decor" in colors that complement the piece, and a font that you think will work (simple, but colorful...each word in different colors).
8 - I'm still not sure how I feel about "designs" being somewhat separate from my name so I'd like to see one where it says "Carolyn K. Designs" all on one with the "home-jewelry-decor" underneath.
9. Because I don't just sell jewelry, I'd like to see if you can take the idea of the colors and jewel tones you've used here to create a more abstract design that I might like, just for something different. Maybe something that's more of a banner or border (e.g. long rectangle) or something that has the sense of movement. I don't know what I want, but I'd just like to see something very different. If it's more abstract, I might not need the "home-jewelry-decor" tag line.
Thanks again. I can't wait to see what you come up with next!
i am sorry Carolyn, I can not replicate the integrated rope because someone thinks he has previously on this subject. Of course I do not agree but there are rules that must be respected. I'll try to do even better without using the integration of jewelry with the letters. I will follow all your suggestions to create the best logo for you and your business.
Do not feel bad for this question. are dictated by the site rules to protect your interests. the service that the site offers is of the highest quality and nothing should change your opinion on it. I will provide the same quality care. Thank you.
Thank you....I understand that, but I thought a pendant might be an obvious element. Please keep working on the concept of the image you created, and the font. Maybe as a plain rectangle, but also more complex. I understand the "jewelry" concern of my other designer. however, do consider the 'highlights" and "reflection" I mentioned. Thanks.
I really like it but can you work on the black edging and the highlights that I mentioned about before. I'm on the road I'll be off-line for a couple of hours thanks
#57 - I like the changes you made. I also like the font. Here are a couple of more suggestions.
- I'd like to see the lines in a color used in the "image"...probably in the blue family. One could even be one color and one another (different blues, a blue and a lime, etc). Please don't use pink, that's my least favorite.
- Can I also see the Carolyn K in a color, like cobalt...something dark enough to see but still bright?
- Is there a way to put a curve into one or both of the lines? Again, I'd like to see what it looks like.
- Given that it's no longer a pendant, I'm not sure if I want the reflection. If I do keep the reflection, I'd like to not include the reflection for only the "image", not the line or the name.
I'm thinking about some the changes you've made. I don't know if I like the image "lighter" or not. The black may have given it depth. I'm still undecided about that. I think the name in the revised fonts, especially the "designs" is a little hard to read. Maybe cobalt? I also noticed that now the bottom lines in #72 and #73 touch the "image". I preferred it when there was a little space between them, like #57. I'd still like to see one with reflection on just the "image", not the text. The size of the image is also better than #50, but it could maybe be a tiny bit bigger. Something we can work on later. But I don't care for #74. I'm looking forward to seeing the curved lines if you're able to work that out.
Thank you for #83. I prefer the image in #57, so please substitute...I didn't care for the diagonal highlight. I'd like to see the font in a solid blue, rather than a gradient. And I'd like the two lines a little closer to the image, like in #57. We're getting there!
Thank you for the new designs. I really like #90, but would like to see the font in a cobalt blue (the bottom left color of the pendant), more than the turquoise it currently is. That would then match my displays when I do craft shows.
I think #91 looks too busy. I think it’s the tag line (home-jewelry-décor) in all of the different colors, or because it’s between the lines. Regardless, for now, please don’t use the tag line until I clear up what I think is a misunderstanding with another designer. Also, “designs” needs an “s” at the end!
#92 is different from what I’ve been thinking. The layout is possible, but I don’t like the font and I don’t like the black line around the “image”. We would also need to cut the tag line and add the “s” as described above.
The "Carolyn K." and the "designs" in the dark cobalt of #101. Please make the "Designs" a little bigger. I'm thinking of a business card will look with tag lines under it because they will dominate the "designs" if I make them big enough to read. Let's also see it with the top line in the green and bottom line in the turquoise of #72, with with the spacing of #101.
Thank you. The "designs" still needs to be much bigger. The letters can be closer together, but they need to be bigger. Let's try that on #104, but with the "designs" also in the cobalt that the "carolyn k" is in.
Thanks. For #107, Please make the bottom line be the turquoise like in #104, but the word ddesign still cobalt like #107, but the same size and style as in #107. Also, make a second where it's just like the one I'm asking for but with "designs" just a little smaller. We're getting close!
We like the font size of the "designs" in #109. But, the "Carolyn K" is no longer centered top to bottom on the pendant. Please either make the pendant larger (which allows the lines to be further apart) or bring the Carolyn K down if there's room. Also, we think we like the lines both the same cobalt as the writing. Thanks for your patience.
you're right it was not centered 'cause the space due to "designs" too big. i will adjust it shortly. do not warry to update the rank, it will help me for a fast view.
For #112, please make the "image" slightly taller so that the "Carolyn K" is still centered and there's a little more white space between the bottom of the "y" and the "Designs".
Also, I'm sending you a Private Message with some other information. Please check.
Sorry to not get back to you sooner, but I've been busy at my other job.
I would like to try the following.
- #114 with bottom line only - #114 with no lines - #114 with no lines, but use the “y” in my name to curl and make a wavy line on the bottom. - #114 with a font more like that in #60 and #44 (which I assume is okay since two other designers have used it), used in any of the three ideas above.
The goal is to make it look less boxy, less closed in, and a little more fun and playful, if that gives you any other ideas.
I'm liking this without the lines. The dropped "y" in #117 gives it a more fun and relaxed look. I don't know if it would look good, but what if the "y" came under or even behind the "image". Maybe that's too big and too much, but it gets at the "curve" we were hoping for. #118 was way too formal. YES, you can try a handwritten font...as long as you don't feel bad if I don't like it! I'd love to see what you come up with.
why i should feel bad ? Could be an option ... i will try, is just a shot. i will extend the "y" in #117 unter the the image and i can put it over too ... let's try ...
Yes, #117 is better. But I might like where the "y" ends up in #119...so it's almost to the bottom part of the "K". That could be worth trying. And I'm excited to see your handwritten font!
