Compete, Improve, Play!

We are a membership based website created to improve golfers games and allow a forum for collaboration, and discussion about all things golf. We will have content focused on instruction, equipment, travel, fitness,and golf news. We have a feature that allows golfers to connect with one another and meet up to play. In addition we will also host regularly scheduled golf tournaments in NC and SC.

I am a little torn on color scheme. My initial thought was to have black and white with a subtle accent color of a green, carolina blue, or navy blue.

Additional scheme may include one or two of these colors. I like soft, subtle "matte" style colors.

I am hesitant to provide to much here as I am coming to this site for the designers creativity and I am open to most any idea that conveys my desired message and purpose. That being said the attached sketch is what I have come up with as my idea for a logo. It is an outline of the states of NC and SC with the company name over top. We can explore colors, fonts, and tweak the layout of the attached photo or you can come up with something totally different.

I would like to include one somewhat subtle image that identifies this as a golf site. My thought is to have the letter "O" in the word network have a golf flagstick coming out of it so that it resembles a golf putting green. I like the flag image attached below. I also like the font and clean design of that logo. The 3rd attachment is just for color. If we use green I like this shade of green.
