The idea of wave /water is good but i'm afraid that it implies we are 'on' the water. Also think that my idea of vines/grapes was not so good as i feel it looks like we are a winery? Still like your first gazebo with name under. Like font of 'bed & breakfast' and wonder about having a more stylized text for Carbonnel. Perhaps a 'fancy' C that could be used in other marketing like wrapped around the gazebo without the rest of the name. This is my first venture with LogoTournament when finished do I get the logo in it's various components? i.e. the name, the image, black/white, etc.? Also, you were right about additional versions of gazebo showing up:)
the gazebo is open to everyone because you supplied the source image...but this is the way of crowd-sourcing. Teh only way I can deal with it is do give you my absolute best work. My motto is " Design Starts with an Idea and a Blank Sheet"
The design package I send out is better than the the required eps and jpg images required by LT.
1. hi res 300 dpi jpg image (commercial print) 2.hi res 300 dpi jpg image RGB (desktop printing and web use) 3. hi res B&W 300 dpi 4. 3 no background png file (best suited for web and some desktop printing) 5. favicon.ico (this is the small 16x16 pixel icon used for website bookmarking your web developer with know what to do with it. 6. illustrator vector file.
I like the script or italic 'C' best and wonder about altering the font for Carbonnel to reflect that. Feel that the 'box / square' (sorry, don't know correct terms) font too rigid and want to reflect 'casual elegance'. Also glad to see 'seagull' gone. If you feel something of that nature needed then we have Cardinals and Dove's on our property.
#57 is the same typeface but in #54 I had removed section of the font in order to add the gazebo, this new version think of the gazebo as a patio lantern or bird house
colour variations plus I've tweaked the font a wee bit made it a wee bit heavier and adjusted the letter E the previous E was not right it reads much better with this new version
I like the heavier font. I would like the 'C' to be somehow softer like the the one in #55 I like the colour variations. I am not 100% on the blue tone. I'm not sure how to explain but would like it more blue but still 'spa'-like? i do not like pastels.
#85 colour is better. I liked when you did the grey contrast of gazebo and 'bed& breakfast' is there a green tone that would work as a contrast colour? I need your designer opinion. Can the C around the gazebo be a different font than CARBONNEL or does that create a 'brand' conflict? I like the clarity of CARBONNEL but I also like the idea of a C with a little 'flare/style'. The C in #55 is very nice can you mix that with the other. I know you said that you cut off part of the font and I didn't like rest of the font from #57. Sorry to be a pain. I hope I'm not the worst you've had to deal with.
there is no rule that say we cannot use a different C for the icon, however my advice the Carbonnel font will need to be a more clean san serif that what is used now. otherwise there will be a visual conflict. I personally prefer to use teh same typeface for both..ultimately it is your call.
I'll do a revision for comparison, which I'll upload later today.
#87 This is very nice. is that a rose or grapes? Sorry but hard to tell. Is there a version with some contrasting green tone? Like blue colour of #88. Think we are almost there.
Thank you for selecting my work I've uploaded the required eps and jpg images. If you could take a moment to approve the artwork in order for payment to be processed I will prepare and additional file set which will be sent to email
