Let me know if you'd like to see any changes... font, color, layout...

Thanks for considering my designs.

Erik,
Thank you for your submission. I really like the little peapod-esque icon. Something about it says "germinating ideas" or growing your business. So I think it works well. I think Entry #74 appeals to me the most with the green as the dominant color. Could we make a few small tweaks to it?
1.) I'm worried the tagline (Think | Create | Engage | Deliver) might be a little small...could I see a version with a slightly larger point size?
2.) I'd like to see a little something done with the "i" in Captivate. While I know it will be very small, could you perhaps use the blue ball with the green line across it to dot the "i"? I think it might just give it a little pop of color.
3.) I'd be interested in seeing a version with "Captivate" in green and "Legal" in gray to see how that changes this logo.
4.) Can I see a version of #74 with the edits above (except for the 3rd edit), where the letters in CaptivateLegal are just slighly closer together?
5.) I plan to use the tagline (Think | Create | Engage | Deliver) in proposals highlighting one area at a time to show where in the proposal the client is e.g. think - the strategy phase, etc. I could use bold as a treatment for the font for the section I'm in but was curious to see how, if at all you would recommend using color?

Also, I'm curious what your favorite of these four logos is and why.

No Problem with the changes. Here's a version based on your points 1-3

Here's points 1-3 with a reference to point 5 as an example, showing the highlighting of part of the tagline.

My favorite is the #86 #87 series... I like the closer text spacing in the name the best.

Erik,
Thanks for the quick turn. A few more thoughts...
1.) I like the closer text spacing in the name as well in #86.
2.) Not sure how I feel about the green for "Captivate" now that I see it. Is the green you used for the word Legal in #74 a darker green? If so, could I see "Captivate" in that darker shade? The green we're using now feels a little too vibrant.
3.) Can I go back to seeing a version using the colors from #74 but the text spacing and weight from #86? One version with and one without the blue dot on the eye? (now I'm thinking the dot distracts...but need to compare).
Thanks so much - I think we're getting close here.

That green was a bit darker in 74... let's try 86 with that darker green,

Erik, one more edit!!!
Can we see the seedpod using 1.) a purple ball with green leaves, and alternatively 2.) a green ball with purple leaves? The purple is resonating with my partner and we both continue to be fascinated by the seedpod...or whatever it is...it's interesting.
Thanks!

It is kind of like a seed pod. The purpose of the mark is to show the concept of incubating and protecting new ideas. I was aiming for a very organic shape, yet also incorporating some interesting elements... like the negative space leaf the outer shell encompasses.

Here's one with a purple sphere.

It even works in one flat color... the overall shape serves as a focal point representing the center 'pod'

If you opt for the purple... you might want the LEGAL text to be that color as well.

Here's a version with all green in the name.

About the green in for the pod... I didn't change anything, I think the reason you see it differently is because of the contrast now with the purple. I've darkened it up a bit so the gradient is deeper.

Same as the last except with purple text for legal.

i with purple dot and the same green as in #94... I darkened the green of the previous two a bit.

I think the pod is too dark on my latest updates... here's a version with a lighter green.

My thoughts on the text color... The legal looks best in purple if captivate is in green. If captivate is in gray, the legal could be either one. The dot on the i looks nice in purple... the green is hard to see against the gray.

Just my thoughts...

I think I'm liking the green and purple combo...good suggestion.

Here's the gray green combo...

I think you're right about keeping the purple out of the text. That way on the website you can maybe use just a little bit of purple elsewhere on the layout just to tie it all together...

I'm going to re-rank these three to the top #143, #149 and #151 and send to my colleagues to review. Then we can finalize on one.

sorry, one more request...can I see an all gray text version and then use 4 different colors for the tagline? purple and green among them, obviously. my colleague wanted to see that version and I forgot to ask...

Logo Designer
sure thing... I'm going to include a bold version as well, in case you opt for the highlighting route you mentioned earlier.

Erik,

I want to confirm the color purple we're using in the seedpod. On Jayme's monitor its showing up as a pinky, magenta color (something like Pantone 2582), but we need the purple to be a richer shade, more like Pantone Violet or 2725. Or check out the purple on her site: http://www.soulati.com/. We're combining our brands so need this to be more rich if possible? We're seeing different shades on different monitors.
Thoughts?

Also can I see a purple dot on the "i" in #149 - which will be the winner of the bunch.

I think you are right... I'm seeing a magenta in it too, compared to the color reference you sent me.

How's this version?
