Color Preferences

We really want to be able to use our logo in black and white for printing. However, we are interested in a couple of touches of bright color. Preference purple and orange.
Definitely do not want any combination of deep blue/red/gold.

Our Ideas & Additional Information

We have an idea of row houses with a wheel, car, or other vehicle symbol in front of them. Attached are a couple of sketches. Please no sportscar imagery.
