Mike,
I like the pig and the lettering in #1. The team name is Canis lupus which is the scientific name of the common wolf. We need that pig tied into a wolf. I would also like to see the NCSU strutting wolf hat on the pig. You could put a cartoon Wolf an enlarged apron. Just some suggestions.

I can certainly revise the design of the strutting pig. So just to be clear, you like the pig, but put the hat that's on the NCSU strutting wolf on the pig, then also make a cartoon wolf to go on the pig's apron?

Exactly...I would like the wolf on the apron to look as close to the NCSU strutting wolf that copyright law will allow. I love the pig! Perfect character for what we need. We just need to tie it into the wolfpack.

Excellent! I can absolutely do that. Glad you love the pig! :) I had alot of fun drawing him. I'm working on illustrating a strutting wolf now that resembles the NCSU wolf, without infringing. :)

One other small item. We need the word "Barbecue" added to the logo so that there is no doubt what is going on with us.

Alrighty, I've added a stylized strutting wolf, and I've added the same kind of hat the wolf is wearing to the pig. Let me know if you'd rather have the pig without the hat. Notice on the pig's apron that one of the apron's just has the wolf's head, and the other ones have the full bodied wolf.

I like the text #4. I don't like the hat. Your pig looks cooler without the lid. This is really good though.

I would like to see #5 without the hat and can you make the word barbecue look like fire? I think it is going to look good with the red lettering as if the letters are hot. The last thing is we have to correct the spelling to Canis lupus. Scientific names use a lowercase letter for the species. Sorry for the run around Mike...looking good we are almost there.

Alrighty, I've updated the logo in #7 and #8. I made the canis lupus lowercase and I also made the word "bbq" look firey. Let me know what you think. :) If you have any further revisions, I will be happy to make them. :)

Mike the "C" is capitalized and the "L is lowercased. Thanks...otherwise as far as I'm concerned #8 has it dialed in. I just need to run it by my partner who has remained quiet during this whole process.

I think we are really close here, one other idea, could we see what it looks like to put a brand in his left hand (do pigs have hands) and tie that into the "brand" on the font. Also, lighten up the circle so that it does not dominate the team name as much. Thanks.

Also, I am working on adding a brand in the piggies left hand and lightening up the circle right now and I'll upload shortly.

Alrighty, I've added in the brand to the pigs hand, and I lightened up the ring behind the text...however it doesn't look like it lightened too much, if you'd like it even lighter, I can certainly do so. #11

We really like #16. Can we enlarge the text canis lupus to make more prominent? Can we have the wolf licking his chops? Can you change the spelling to barbecue (classic American spelling). I like that you have a strong tie in between the wolf and pig.
