Allright-- well, another consultant looked at the logos, and liked yours the best, especially the color layout. And she said the purpose of the triangle was to show contrast of the darker and brighter color.
However, feel free to experiment on that element-- if you think the shape within the "o" could be modified in some form, or if the words can be exhibited in an alternate way.
Ah, I get the play button now. Yup, I was referring to the "o" with the triangle.
The logo is unique and memorable; thanks for the new edits without the triangle. That one is even better, as we'll probably have a blog component as well. :)
I've been giving feedback to other designers about little ways where their logos can be tweaked, but I really have nothing to add about yours, other than what I already said about taking out that play button.
It's a perfect balance of being not too feminine/masculine, and is a simple design that invokes hope. There are no complex or hidden ideas that people have to twist their minds to figure out what it means. And it was a brilliant idea to take the ribbon-- the universal symbol of cancer support-- and give it a human form. It is consistent with the vision of Cancer Concepts--- to send out the message that cancer cannot take away one's identity.
