Question,

What do you mean bu "Could you try to incorporate the need for injury prevention" ?

Client
What we do is support standards for safety in playgrounds, sport fields and train people around the world how to test for impact attenuation. I like your approach. How do we pictorially display prevention of injury or safety

Client
Could you look at making the play structure into swings with two swings in swing bay. The slide is little hard to see
10 years ago

Logo Designer
will do, as for presenting preventing sports injury that's a tough one I'll see what I can come up with

update I have not added kids because you will not see them it will be nothing but a white splotch. both in print and web we need to keep the icon as simple as possible...I know you wish to convey safety but the more I add the worse it will get. The company name say it all the icon is more of an embellishment.

#51 is another option though a the swing set will not fit inside the green area it would be too small... any suggestions?

Client
I like the swing. can we do it straight on. I like #42. Can we do a more traditional pictogram of the runner. in small scale I am not sure if the more flowing runner is understood.

Client
On #42 I like the simplicity of the circle. The is also the subtle down playing of the word Canadian by being in the shadow or less contrast between the word and background. is there a way to make Advisory stand out more by increasing the contrast with the back ground. for the swing it could be with or without children at this picture. http://st.depositphotos.com/1029662/1388/v/950/depositphotos_13882091-Children-Playground-Outdoor-Park.jpg Would the runner from our current logo work www.playgroundadvisory.com

Client
Advisory should be prominent, but subtly. I think the way you have subtly used contrast with background works really well. you do not need to change or bold the font, just the background.

I'll have update later today

#55 update but not complete. I was not happy with grey silver behind text to much for contrast to work.

the swing set needs to cover 2 quarter sections not one in one it would be too small

what would you like to see in the 2 lower quarter sections?

Logo Designer
#60 let's nix the 4 quarter panels

#61 I've turned the globe into the swing set

Client
Scott;
I really like the outside ring of #42. the swing might work better without children. The play structure with slide has to go. playground people recognize it, but another comment was it look like a gas pump. The runner needs to be included. Can we denote safety with a cross in white. I do like the 4 quarters they allow the swing, runner and cross. it allows for the addition of a 4th pictogram for science or technology in the future. Am thinking the nuclear symbol of electrons circling a nucleus
10 years ago

Client
Like the 4 quarters. going with a single item makes us to singular. We are expanding into other areas. Take a look at Triax2000.com which we are the teaching agent for and needs an update as well. This training and inspections is our future focus. Leave the silver circle of #42 and lighten up the silver under the VIS or advisory

#72 #73 applied same to the 4 square layout

I like #69 I would put the cross with square edges in a circle like you see on a first aid kit.
I have had someone that likes the oval ask if 69 could be stretched sideways to become an oval

#69 the swing does not need a ground line to identify it. can we take the runner from out current logo, I can upload this as a Corel file
10 years ago

Logo Designer
is this a corel for my eyes only?

BTW I use Coreldraw and AI

Logo Designer
if the file is for my eyes only then you can upload to dropbox or similar site and post the link here on this page ...no one else can see it.

Client
I can send both to help you move forward. the runner has a ring around it and the ring can stay or go. need to know where to send it
10 years ago

Logo Designer
since this is your original logo you can post it directly to the contest...there will be a link inside your profile to upload additional files.

Client
it is uploaded
I like the cross in #73

Logo Designer
Thank you,#77 here is an initial; oval design based on the circle style. Since the company name is long placing the full name in the top section would not work the text will be very small unless I find a more condensed font
10 years ago

Client
I like # 89. The crosses are good. Can you look at the green that is nosed for the green cross on apoteks in europe
10 years ago

Client
Can we do 78 with a green cross

Client
Can we put a maple leaf in the middle of #80 and I think we might have it with the apothecary green on the crosses

will do but I'll upload in the morning it's 11pm my time (Halifax) and I am offline for the night

#94 update with red leaf

Client
Scott
I will have my team look at it and we should decide on the red or green leaf today
thanks

Client
#87 appears to be in the lead. Do you have any suggestions beyond what we have. We would use this for business cards, stickers, letterhead and webpage logo and masthead. To accommodate these would you see the need for any changes
10 years ago

Logo Designer
the only thing is the silver needs to have more space between the top and bottom of words like in #92
10 years ago

Logo Designer
#95 update with better spacing, my advice is to use the one other than that the logo will print fine from business card to stickers etc
10 years ago

Client
Scott;
Thanks. how do we move to the next stage and get this into circulation.

Logo Designer
You have the option to end early if you chose or simply wait until the contest goes into judging phase.. which will occur in about 50 minutes from the time of this post.

Step 1: When Contest Holder selects a wining entry (a manual process)

Step2: The winning designer then uploads the required EPS and 3 JPG images

Step 3: You download the files there will be a small text link that says download files | approve files this link is actual 2 separate links...I have been trying to get Admin to make changes so that both links a clear buttons and not text tiny text.

Step 4: review the jpg images. The EPS file you will need software such as illustrator or Coreldraw to view, if you try an import the eps file into MSWord you see a small low res thumbnail this is normal as EPS is a special format.

Step 5: if all is good simply click the "Approve" link in order for payment to be processed.

I will be supplying an additional file package which is better than the files uploaded to LT...this package I send via email once Payment has been processed

If you have any question please ask.
