What we do is support standards for safety in playgrounds, sport fields and train people around the world how to test for impact attenuation. I like your approach. How do we pictorially display prevention of injury or safety
update I have not added kids because you will not see them it will be nothing but a white splotch. both in print and web we need to keep the icon as simple as possible...I know you wish to convey safety but the more I add the worse it will get. The company name say it all the icon is more of an embellishment.
I like the swing. can we do it straight on. I like #42. Can we do a more traditional pictogram of the runner. in small scale I am not sure if the more flowing runner is understood.
On #42 I like the simplicity of the circle. The is also the subtle down playing of the word Canadian by being in the shadow or less contrast between the word and background. is there a way to make Advisory stand out more by increasing the contrast with the back ground. for the swing it could be with or without children at this picture. http://st.depositphotos.com/1029662/1388/v/950/depositphotos_13882091-Children-Playground-Outdoor-Park.jpg Would the runner from our current logo work www.playgroundadvisory.com
Advisory should be prominent, but subtly. I think the way you have subtly used contrast with background works really well. you do not need to change or bold the font, just the background.
Scott; I really like the outside ring of #42. the swing might work better without children. The play structure with slide has to go. playground people recognize it, but another comment was it look like a gas pump. The runner needs to be included. Can we denote safety with a cross in white. I do like the 4 quarters they allow the swing, runner and cross. it allows for the addition of a 4th pictogram for science or technology in the future. Am thinking the nuclear symbol of electrons circling a nucleus
Like the 4 quarters. going with a single item makes us to singular. We are expanding into other areas. Take a look at Triax2000.com which we are the teaching agent for and needs an update as well. This training and inspections is our future focus. Leave the silver circle of #42 and lighten up the silver under the VIS or advisory
I like #69 I would put the cross with square edges in a circle like you see on a first aid kit. I have had someone that likes the oval ask if 69 could be stretched sideways to become an oval

Thank you,#77 here is an initial; oval design based on the circle style. Since the company name is long placing the full name in the top section would not work the text will be very small unless I find a more condensed font
#87 appears to be in the lead. Do you have any suggestions beyond what we have. We would use this for business cards, stickers, letterhead and webpage logo and masthead. To accommodate these would you see the need for any changes
You have the option to end early if you chose or simply wait until the contest goes into judging phase.. which will occur in about 50 minutes from the time of this post.
Step 1: When Contest Holder selects a wining entry (a manual process)
Step2: The winning designer then uploads the required EPS and 3 JPG images
Step 3: You download the files there will be a small text link that says download files | approve files this link is actual 2 separate links...I have been trying to get Admin to make changes so that both links a clear buttons and not text tiny text.
Step 4: review the jpg images. The EPS file you will need software such as illustrator or Coreldraw to view, if you try an import the eps file into MSWord you see a small low res thumbnail this is normal as EPS is a special format.
Step 5: if all is good simply click the "Approve" link in order for payment to be processed.
I will be supplying an additional file package which is better than the files uploaded to LT...this package I send via email once Payment has been processed
Forgot to mention when selecting a winner you will need to select a 2nd place winner and 3rd place plus another 7 for a total of 10 designs or designers....Points are assigned to the top 10 ranks.
