California Islands Botanical ExtravaganzaLogo Design Contest

I like the use of the satellite image of the islands and the stylized plants and wildlife. The use of birds with seeds below is a nice touch. Using an island scrub jay with an acorn would be more appropriate (see uploaded photo- scrubjay). I like the tree, but one that is "wind flagged", blown sideways would also be more characteristic of an oak on the islands (see uploaded photo- oak). Not super excited about the color pallet, maybe brown, khaki, or wassail, instead of the forest green. All in all- on the right track.

Entry #8 is also very nice. The further incorporation of plant material, i.e. the leaf is great.

On entry #8, I like the incorporation of the leaf on the edge, but might need another color to stand out a from the other element.

Entry #9 is very much in the running. I would suggest flipping the oak to bend to the left vs to the right. Nice!

Thanks for making the change in outer leaf color. Like your others, this is in the running. See comment on oak for entry 9. Same would apply to this one.

Entry 20. I know it is difficult to make the islands stand out when they are within a large geographic area. They look like specs. Any way to slightly enlarge them. Other than that, no more suggestions

Entry 22. Tough to chose which one I prefer, 20 or 22.

I just downloaded the files. Due to the small size when viewing on screen, I did not notice the grey line below the logo. Can that be removed?
