This event on San Clemente Island will bring together all the botanists working on the California Islands, from Mexico and USA, to address the challenges facing island rare plant and vegetation conservation,

The California Islands Extravaganza is a group of botanists working on the California islands who are getting together to look for rare plants, and to discuss and plan conservation objectives. This will be our first annual event to begin managing the islands as an archipelago vs. single islands, thus a regional theme. These islands are biologically diverse like the world famous Galapagos Islands.
