I absolutely love that you've made the Seahorse into a wave! This is very simple and elegant! Since I am trying to brand "Cali Girl" Could you make the "Cali Girl" a little bit more bold?

This is such a cute seahorse! I love it! I think that it would look great on marketing materials. I'm having a hard time choosing between the two logo's. Both extremely fantastic! - I really like the color, however the font for "Cali Girl" is a little hard to read. I like the calligraphy could you use another font that makes it a little easier to read the "Cali Girl". Keep in mind that it needs to have a dot over the "i" otherwise it looks like Call girl. I'm loving these! Thank you!
I really like the full seahorse. I think that it will work better for marketing. As I mentioned above I'd like the font a little easier to read. I'd also like to see what it looks like with another color for the font.
#42 looks amazing! I definitely like the all blue one color seahorse. I would like to play with the Cali Girl fonts a bit. I do like the grey. I'd love to see a couple other fonts that you have not used yet. I like the "g" better on #12 however that Cali and girls is hard to read on number 12. I like the bigger font on number 42. I would also love to see it in the blue and a brown or sand color for the font. ( as long as you think that the sand color would show up on print. Otherwise stick with the grey. ) I do like the grey, that it looks modern and I like the contrast! ;)
#42 Is still my favorite in the bunch. You are so talented Vea! I have fallen in love with this design! I do think that the FITNESS needs to be bigger and fully across the bottom of the logo under cali girl, it's getting lost a bit. I'm still not in love with the G in the font for girl. In #42 but I do like that it allows fitness to be bigger at the bottom and it's very legible and modern looking!
The feedback that I've been getting is that everyone loves this design, but they've all said that it looks a bit like a beach boutique or a little dated or older. If there is a way to make it a bit more modern I'd love that!
Here is my background and why I love the Seahorse. I've been in multiple car accidents. I've become a spine and core fitness expert. I love the Seahorse because it has vertebrae/spine. In the future I would like to call one of my workouts the skinny seahorse.
Would there be a way to possibly make the brush strokes on the horse a little bit more modern? And use a modern font that looks like an luxury sleek modern brand with a beachy feel where the lowercase "I" in cali is distinct? I would like my next steps for my website and blog to follow along the direction and feel of the logo. I'm loving where this is going!
Hi, Here are a couple of new options with slight variations of the design. As for the font, although handwritten typefaces convey character and personal touch, they might look whimsical at times. If you want to have a more modern look and cater to the sports side of the business, a clean sans serif font would be better. But again, it all depends on the feel you want to project.
Oh I love the little Vertebrae on # 132! Geez! This is tough! They all are so amazing! You're so talented!
Ok So I think I've narrowed down the font! I really like everything about the font in #133. It just needs to be a little bit darker. Especially the Fitness because it starts to fade at the beginning.
I love the whole look of #132! - However I can't use Capital Fonts. The capital "I" looks to close to an "L" which changes the meaning to CALL GIRL (Which in America means prostitute.) So I need to have lower case "i" for the Cali. :)
So Let's stick with the fonts in #133 just darker. :) - I also really like the Seahorse in #133 however I think that it might be harder to see in print. Is there a way to do it in reverse so that the body is darker and the strokes are white like #132?
I'm totally in love with the vertebrae on #132! I also like the whole body is a bit darker. I think that it would pop on print. I'd like to lose the dot's on the belly though. Keep the vertebrae. It's awesome! Can we make this little seahorse bigger like the one in #133? I also love the swirl on the head for the eyes. I like the distinctive crowns a little better on #128/133. Maybe if it's bigger that will show. :)
Hey there, A couple of updates: #134 - with darker font #135 - darker and slightly bolder font #136 - is actually #133 in reverse #137 - which is kind of like a combo between these, using the vertebrae from #132
I can do "fitness" even bolder if you'd like, although I think it's quite visible now :)
They are all so fabulous! It's so hard to chose! I've opened it up to facebook to have my friends help me decide! :)
I love #137 the only thing I would change would be the stripe down the belly. I think it detracts from the vertebrae a little. I like that it's darker and stands out. Could you fill in the stripe on the belly, but keep the swirl for the eye?
The little spine on #145 is so cute! I love it! - Is there a way to raise the little wings up a tiny notch. Also the tail looks slightly larger than the head now. Could you make the head proportionate to the new body. :)
Here are the updated versions: #146 #147 - I added another spike on the head #148 - is slightly tweaked 147 with a variation of the tail and an overall straighter posture.
Wow Vea! Just when I think that I've picked one you give me more amazing options.
It's definitely down to #146 or #147. Which one do you like better? I love them both! I have fallen in love with this little horse since the beginning! It is also the fan favorite on facebook. I really like the new addition #147! I like that it makes the horse look strong and adds more color. My only concern with this design from the beginning has been that it may not show up as well on marketing materials such as the darker filed in horses. Any suggestions with that for printing? I would like to be able to use the seahorse both stand alone and with the font separately for marketing. I like the idea of the little tote that I had posted with the starfish on top as the main focus. I'd also like to use it on workout tank tops, and cell phone cases, and all things that go along with a new online fitness business. :) Do I receive a file with the seahorse separate and the font separate as well as the full logo?
As for color and fonts. Two questions.
1) Color: Are you able to use the Pantone matching system so that the color will remain the same?
2) Fonts: Is the font a Freeware font? Is it an easily accessible font that I will be able to use and carry over to my website, and for printing materials?
Again I'm so thrilled with this little horse and design! Now it's time to pick one! #146 or #147 decisions decisions!
I like #151 the most out of the ones that you just sent me. I think that I have to go with the Caps so that it mimics Fitness. Something still seems a little off and awkward about it. Is there a way to try and make it the same size as fitness so that it looks like it matches? Right not it doesn't quite flow.
If you have suggestions as to how to make it flow, or use another font, I'm open for changes to My name and Fitness.
I don't want to detract from the SeaHorse or the Cali Girl. I want people to be able to read it, and would like it to flow with your fantastic design! :)
I like the fonts on both #156, and #155 Could they be a little darker, and the little symbol darker? #156 Seems smaller and a little harder to read.
Ok one last option. I know I threw my name in there at the last minute which is throwing things off. I'm not sure if I love it on top. Could we mess with it a little to try and make it flow so it reads "Cali Girl Fitness By Lisa Rogers". Play with it a little do what you think looks best with the design.
I think that we are so close! I want to narrow it down to a winner. I just want it to feel right. :)
#159 is the Winner! I absolutely love it! I think we struck gold here! Thank you for all of your ideas and for being so patient with me! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Fabulous Seahorse that you designed for me Vea! Your designs are all so good it's hard to choose! You are so talented! I love the fonts and the way everything stands out! Yay! I love my new logo!!
